So, the last part.
78th October 2009 The Tourist (Olen Steinhauer)
Milo Weaver is a family man and business go. His wife and daughter have no idea who he really is. Years ago, he has a so-called "tourist" worked for the CIA. But when he was seriously wounded in an operation, he got out first, and sat down to rest half.
But the past can not be shaken off so easily, and Milo learns that the killer Benjamin Harris alias "Tiger" is rumtreibt nearby. Him had he tried to grab for years without success. He feels at this time, actually, only to learn that the tiger has deliberately by Weaver can be found. Just before the killer commits suicide with a cyanide capsule, he tells Milo that he has also worked as a tourist, but of its clients with a deadly disease has infected.
already suspected of the murder of Tiger, because Milos fingerprints are found in his face, charged to him soon after the death of even one of his colleagues (with whom he was friends with) to.
Milo dives, and tries to always have the CIA and other intelligence agencies in the neck to figure out what's going on, and who else is in on it. He can trust anyone, and to protect his family will also prove difficult.
very exciting spy thriller, not totally implausible acting Bond scenarios. The job of the agents does not come over here, like a permanent party, but as something dangerous and gnawing on the nerves. Indeed, some agents that are too long on the road as a tourist, drug problems, take amphetamines to stay awake too good, without realizing that they, ultimately, the only inattentive, etc. I've actually never read a spy thriller. Now and then maybe a thriller or a thriller with pathologists in the lead role, etc. But even that rare. Can say, for people who want to do that once the genre, this is the right book ^ ^
79th The storm kings - Glutsand (Kai Meyer)
The third part of the storm king Trilogy. I had real fear that after the first two parts were just good, might give the third but then in terms of quality. Fortunately, however, was not the case. Loose threads from the previous parts can be resumed, and so well connected, like the flying carpets, pull on which our hero through the area.
Tarik Sabatea and are on their way to Skarabapur, the city should be stored where the genies his third wish. Accompanied by night, the two still face and ifranji and Khalis, the mitschleift still his daughter and Mary brought in honey and Almarik to protect him it has. As leaders they have the ivory horse at their head. Meanwhile, June's
fighting in Baghdad against the approaching Dschinnheere and tries to free some of the crazed man under normal slave at heart. Finally, it is
a truly furious finale in all places. The fighters give everything again, it flows a lot of blood, we get it in some respects to do with zombies (just think Narbennarr) to learn what it has actually Jibril up.
The end is so brutal and dirty, the protagonists suffer again very much and the group in Skarabapur go at each other's throats to each of the deter other to be able to claim the third wish for themselves, while June, before Baghdad still happy with a few Dschinnkönigen. I must say
after I had through the book, I was almost sad that it was over. I think I can safely read the trilogy more often. Because there are certainly some that we quickly forget, and the second read more noticed.
80th The Miraculous Journey of the World Jonathan Blum (Rainer M. Schröder)
As Schroeder has said most youth for historical adventure novels known, and that the more one is it here. The book has me once borrowed a classmate in high school, and I did not until last year to read it (they wanted it on demand but have not returned, so has this been clear;))
1850s, Jonathan Blum and his family is evicted from his home because he is of Jewish origin. In Germany, the family in with relatives. Jonathan may make with his uncle a lesson, but really he is not satisfied. Together with a friend, he landed a spot on the Liberty, a ship for emigrants, which is sailing to America. His friend survived the crossing, but Jonathan learns a Jewish family who helps him. Although Jonathan denies his religion, befriends the family man with him, and his children like Jonathan you. Arrived in America, Jonathan must first work off his debt, which cost him years and it still does not go much further. But he manages to be raised, and followed by more and more adventure. He becomes the agent of one unscrupulous con artist draws with a trek, which also follows the family of his friends over a long distance and over mountains, where they are stuck in the first winter, in part, the country where you can still opportunities to own land and has a farm. He makes friends with a slave and falls in love with the daughter of the Jewish family friends. He, together with his slave friend, whom he has freed, deported to a war ship, and sailed through the world without too great, the opportunity to declare his love where he is (actually, he wanted to marry her) He goes gold mine and what not all. So
on the order of these experiences I am now not entirely clear, but the story is written very exciting and Jonathan is a really interesting character who struggles with his faith (after the expulsion) The other Figures are worked out very nicely.
November 2009
81st The water Weber (Kai Meyer)
and another trilogy conclusion of Meyer. Again, a great last part.
Jolly and Munk are deep under the sea and are on their way to the maelstrom, while defending Walker, Soledad and Co with others Aelenium to the two tadpoles enough time to its mission to provide meet. While top
be repelled from the air wave after wave of new attacker has to be weakened and the contestants more and more, get Jolly and Munk at the bottom of the sea bed at risk. A strange girl joins them and Munk seems to be on the side of the Maelstrom provide.
super exciting, and although the book is almost a single showdown in fact, it gets boring at any time. The battle that rages on top of and in the air is described super, as do people feel right. And under the water can be puzzled about who may now be trusted and who not - find this out is not so simple. Also on the Acherus, the Lord of the Gnome and the maelstrom itself is still really learn much. And it really fits it all together.
too, is a trilogy, which I would read again ^ ^
82nd Glister (John Burnside)
Glister is a book in which I have myself after I read it, just do not know what to make of it. I can not decide if I liked it or not. Come with me not so often. For content, I will not actually write something. Read on here but if interested just follow these reviews.

83 . Traces - Death Sagittarius (Malcolm Rose)
United Kingdom in the future. Luke Harding, sixteen years old, has just recently been completed as the examination to the Forensic investigators successfully than he already gets the first case on the table. A classmate was shot with a bow and arrow. Together with his helpers Malc he sets about to investigate the matter. But it does not stop with one dead. Other victims followed, and Luke must learn to deal with the fact that he himself stands as the main suspect. Exciting
written thriller with sci-fi elements. The society in which the story takes place, is explained only as passing. Respectively. not explained, but you can get hold of discussions and negotiations with how it all has to imagine about. Thus, children over 5 years to give the authorities who specialize in school very early to one area, and may not choose their marriage partners themselves, but get an allocation that best fits one. Sun Luke has no real chance of being brought together with his flock, as they studied music.
84th Traces - Ricochet (Malcolm Rose)
The second part of the series. Luke has now been brought to London - a region in which investigators are always needed, since it is one of the most deprived places in Britain. The city is already overgrown in part again with trees and other plants, so you also can never get a cab. For which there is simply no way through. So it is not surprising that one better on the road in the case where you do not want to be attacked.
Luke is called after a doctor was shot. He also finds out that a white boy was shot. He soon finds out that a cult might lie behind it, which finds that physicians do not may intervene, and have something against whites because they supposedly have a white skin, because God has marked them as sinners. (Yes, whites are a minority in the future - either albino, or have a different genetic disorder before I knew it, I found the blurb a bit strange: D.)
Luke infiltrates into the sect and himself in danger.
things remain just as exciting as the first part, and the humor is not too short. As Malc can think only as a machine perfectly logical, there are so many strange dialogue ^ ^
A third part is already published in German (serial murders, all women, all of Emily Wonder mean to be killed) and the fourth (offender profile) coming out in July. Altogether there are six volumes in English.
85th Once (Morris Gleitzman)
Felix is nine years old and has lived for over three years in a Catholic orphanage somewhere in the mountains. He is neither Catholic nor an orphan. His parents put him in the orphanage, so he is well cared for while they take care of the bookstore, with which they have some problems. That they have this Prpbleme because they are Jews, Felix does not understand.
One day when soldiers show up in an orphanage, and burn books, Felix makes his way to warn his parents before them. Only when he picks up along the way the little girl Zelda, whose family was brutally murdered by the soldiers, he slowly begins to understand what's going on. And how dangerous it is for him and Zelda and all other Jews so.
A very good book. The boy in the striped pajamas, I did not read, after what I've heard of it, but it must be managed similarly. You mean, who liked that will also be one like it. At first, it is sometimes almost painful to To read how little understood the boy. That he is but also protects its naivete comes, a little later over good. What it all will be experiencing some really brutal, that everything is described from his perspective helps, as even. The writing style has also promised me, and the end is not really a Happy Ending, and not really an end, but it was satisfactory.
is a second part already, only the German translation is still pending (English title of the sequel "Then")
86th Inkheart (Cornelia Funke)
87th Inkspell (Cornelia Funke)
88th Inkdeath (Cornelia Funke)
After I had seen about a year before the movie, so I got back interested in reading it, and then in November I've finally made (on vacation you have just come enough time to get a daily Book runterzuschlingen)
The first part, I had read once before, and after that I did not really have the desire to turn over the sequels. Not that the first part would be bad. The end is only complete enough that it would particularly urge to read on, and the story is indeed exciting, but the big kick was there, too. That was then going on only in part two. I'm glad I've overcome to the still to begin, I would have really missed something.
In Inkheart, we learn many characters know first, in Inkspell and Inkdeath come some more about what the story there, but does not slow as much as the first part. But
to content. In Inkheart, we learn first to know Mo and his daughter Meggie. Mo is a bookbinder, and restored antiques etc. Meggie's mother disappeared, and Meggie loves books. In the course of history nor is Elinor, a grumpy-celled relatives and lover of books to dust and finger, a very strange guy. How do we know Mo has it along with some really bad guys from a book - read out - Inkheart where then Resa, Meggie's mother, wife and Mos is apparently disappeared. Since Capricorn, the villain wants to use magic tongue Mo, to get out read more things from books, it is damn dangerous for the whole family, and dust mixed with a rich, strong fingers. Sometimes he stands on this, sometimes on one side, and why he is willing to tell Mo and Meggie, is in the book, unfortunately not really made clear. That he does not like Mon particularly because this article does not want him back, is still clear, but the rest is revealed only really in the succeeding volumes. In all this mess can
Capricorn still possible, all issues of Inkheart raise and destroy, so he has the only Exemplat. Our heroes come up with the ingenious idea, but seek times the authors of the story, and to inquire whether he might still have a copy, it is drawn Fenoglio, the author also with.
The finish is quite nice, some people disappear into a book, and all are reasonably secure.
is the second part but it really begins. First, we are still in our world, but over time, some voluntary, some forced to gather all the ink in the world where the adventure starts in earnest. You meet old friends, as Fenoglio notes that there is in this medieval world, the one or the other villain, and in some cases that are under it, are out for revenge, and experience with how to Fenoglio's story then virtually self-development. The living beings that exist in the fantasy world so, really great. Glass men who were mentioned in the first part are described in more detail now, and you learn but few know well. Also Dustfinger you get to know better, and Meggie is casually grown.
When times apart from the first part, which has a little trouble (sorry, it is perhaps more often, that someone successful sequels do not read) a very successful trilogy with a truly complex history, and a nice epilogue. I have not looked back to read it (and part two and three of content in my mind totally mixed because they relate so strongly)
89th December 2009 Fletcher Moon - private investigator had (Eoin Colfer)
So far I read by Eoin Colfer only the first two Artemis Fowl books. So I was with his writing style a little familiar, and knew what I get involved.
Fletcher Moon is also at least as funny as Artemis Fowl, but without the fantasy. Instead, we are dealing with a children's thriller elements with Buddy to do its best. Fletcher Moon is a student and is very interested in police and detective work. Under the name of his father, he has even taken part in a correspondence course, and passed a recognized examination, which has given him his own brand investigators. Of course he would have to be not a minor, but it is still very proud of it. At school he is thanks to the brand as investigators - some even as a total dork. His first paid case can not wait too long in coming, but instead to release it quickly, Fletcher is caught in a vortex of crime, fraud and a large mysterious organization that is behind some misdeeds. Right in the middle Fletcher must recognize that even the Sharkeyclan consists not only of criminals, and makes common cause with Red Sharkey, who obtained him from police custody after Fletcher himself something is attached.
A really funny book that has everything you expect from a thriller for adults. Only just implemented for children, and that's great.
90th Tower high and miles wide (Tonke Dragt)
between the children's books, my step-siblings discovered. I never knew until now that Tonke Dragt and Sci-Fi writes. And that the story was invented in the 60s, is also difficult.
It's about Edu, space explorers, is the second time stationed on Venus. The earth is overpopulated completely, and so long are also people resettled into space. Natural forests or have been on earth only in the last few reserves, which is why most people do with it too much you can not. Edu other hand loves nature, and the lush, exotic woods on Venus it to draw. Of course it is forbidden him to go in there, sometimes quite apart from the fact that he may not even come close to them. The People live on Venus in a giant dome in which they wish to protect the climate etc. Outside their territory, they have established security robot, which must be replaced regularly. Artificial materials and metals are destroyed by the nature of Venus quite fast. One day during a reconnaissance flight Edu flies too close on purpose go to the forest, its engine broke it and crashes. Dressed in a suit he leaves the aircraft, only to find that even the suit is strongly attacked by a fungus attack of all inorganic substances seems. But sterng according to the rules he can not take off the suit. When he is already half-unconscious, he is pulled out, the expert had not injured in the forest, where he was picked up.
Soon he may more often in the forest to do research there. Here, he meets some day to the original inhabitants of Venus. They call themselves Afroini, Venus is at Afroi them, and they are predisposed telepathically. In some people, which provides for anxiety, but they can come to terms with the time after all that, and more and more people may go into the forest.
Really well written, exciting and entertaining and imaginative. The feelings of all the protagonists, Anxiety is especially strangers and Conservation received particular attention.
91st Tiger eyes (Tonke Dragt)
continuation of tower high and miles wide. Edu and a seienr colleagues are sent to earth to there a little to report from Venus. Telepathy but should only conceal yet. Meanwhile on Earth: an artist who was once stationed on Venus as a researcher, and was friends with Edu, works in a center where young people must be conspicuously become creative. Gradually, he realizes that he is predisposed telepathically, which of course throws him totally off track. Also one of his students - which is particularly rebellious - seems to have that talent. Together with Edu and company try to telepaths and their allies to find a way, the whole truth about Venus to tell, but at the same time to not reveal their own abilities, for fear of the reaction of the other .
an equally exciting sequel, which is written quite differently. By changing not only the main character but also of the scene we get a different perspective on the situation of the Earth and its government. Successful:)
92nd Dream hour for dormice (Janos)
A very short, with many pictures provided children's book that I loved as a child.
Piezke Popov and live together. Popov, a person who can fly, Piezke, a dormouse, which will not go to school and would rather sleep. Popov as it finally grinds to school, Piezke is caught by a hawk, and Popov has to save him. Other predators meddle Plüm Pelzki promises with his Super Eight spin machine is also very bad, and finally preparing the hunter an end to everything, by shooting down the plane. Piezke falls into a Pond where Popov can save in last. At home watching
Piezke at last, and tells what he has dreamed of the beautiful school, because she had a dream hour: D
93rd Chronicler of the Winds (Henning Mankell)
The baker José works for a slightly crazy old lady who runs a theater next to the bakery. In the theater one night by José the shot street boys Nelio. This has a particular reputation in the area, but no one ever dared to beat him. Nelio not want to the hospital, instead he asks José to take him to the roof. There
Nelio told him the story of his life, until the moment when he is shot.
José's job is to listen to him, and to some extent to take care of him, and get rid of the body after his death. Then for José's nothing like before.
a beautiful book. My stepmother had it as even as a loan, and I immediately recommended. And the absolutely rightly. The situation of street children here is as impressive as described exciting, while the constantly changing staked government is made more ridiculous. The horror of war is not too short, and some point is described as intense, that one may already be bad. Nevertheless, I would read it again.
94th The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Douglas Adams)
95th The Restaurant at the End of the Universe (Douglas Adams) 96th
Life, the Universe and Everything (Douglas Adams) 97th
So long and thanks for all the fish (Douglas Adams) 98th
Young Zaphod Plays It Safe (Douglas Adams) 99th
Mostly Harmless (Douglas Adams)
The content should actually somewhat be known. Still, I'm happy because once again a bit rumzureiten on it;)
Arthur Dent is a normal person. Brit. His normal life is thrown off the track one morning when a construction crew is coming to tear down his house to make room for a bypass. But it gets even more out of control when his friend Ford drags him to a bar to him proclaiming that the earth will soon belong to the past. Ford himself is not a man but is stranded on Earth just as he meant to do research for a galactic guide there. As
Spaceships approach the earth, and the bureaucratic Vogon proclaim to destroy the earth now, to make way for a bypass: D Arthur Ford takes on board one of the vessels. But he has an electronic thumb, can hitchhike with the fine. After some trials and tribulations land Arthur, Ford, Zaphod and Trillian (savior of our two main heroes) on Magrathea, a planet, are designed on the planet. As they also there is too much - Arthur's brain to be sektiert to get to the ultimate question to answer - they go into the restaurant at the end of the universe ...
further than I am the first volume in the first few times I've read it, never came. Each time I inserted a break in between, and which was so long that I finally had to start from scratch. But this time I've read everything in one go. And I know I do that more often required, because there are hell of a lot that I did not already know. And so many great quotes that I have to paint the next reading: D
Where it ever so Arthur verschlägt everything, and as the earth but is subject repeatedly, I think that's great. As the group of spinners and over again in the most impossible can save situations as well. Arthur at the end that even has a daughter, and that only because he earned by sperm donation money to travel through the area can
XD Very nice I find in these books also constantly inserted quotes from the Guide, and the digressions, if one has to experience once again more details to a confusing situation. For example, the infinite Wowbagger prolonged and Misdemeanors.
All in all I think the trilogy that is unbeatable awesome, and the new part that Eoin Colfer has written, I will also eventually need to read. Colfer I trust also means to make the tone well, the dry humor he has in any case definitely it.
100th My life as a search engine (Horst Evers)
My stepfather loves Horst Evers' anecdotes, and I feel no different. At Christmas, I gave him so a recent book by Evers, and even then just read: D
The stories are told Evers always realistic, but exaggerated, with a touch of Bizarrilität. You can read some of it here: www.salbader.de
