99. Trix Solier, apprentice and full of false nobility (Sergei Lukianenko)

Trix Solier, heir to the throne of half a duchy, experience has as Co-Herzog Gris Trix 'Co-creating father Solier Duke out of his way. Rumor Trix's mother lodged a befitting committed suicide by poisoned, jumped out the window, and yet still take stabbed - or had she allegedly set on fire? The details I've forgotten. In any case, Trix is locked in the dungeon and in one night and fog action of Gris liberate itself, set in a boat. The reason he gives that his son was such a wretch that he is not a proper nemesis is hardly anything decent. To make it Trix
not easy to do to claim his right as heir to the throne, He also sent all over the orphans with donated clothes los nobles, posing as Trix. One of them - Ian - the boy learns to know, too, and makes him his servant.
recognizes After a while, Trix, Gris that can not be solved in the usual way, and tries to be himself squire to a knight, in order to work your self in the position to, that he then later with can march an army into the kingdom of the Co-Duke and take revenge. By his knight, Sir Paclus, he finally meets a wizard and can see that he definitely has talent as a magician. Champion sorrel takes him under his wing and teaches him many things, apply the Trix later in order to rescue a young princess from an arranged marriage.

A book in which I'm not sure how to rate it. In places, it took me a bit irritated with various things, sometimes I found something not very good, without knowing why, but mostly I was entertained, and I was amused. Best
liked me but the way in which magic is like here. Since there are no silly Zauberstabgefuchtel, one speaks of any spells, and anyway, it's all very simple. One only has to tell quite convinced what happened - a listener who is competent to do so, to believe what one is told this essential important - and it will happen. The formulation has to be very careful of course, and things were already said too often use to decrease with time. Something else ^ ^

100th are Tales of Terror from the Black Ship [horror stories from the black ship] (Chris Priestley)

this is not much to say. As with Uncle Montague's tales of horror, there is again a small background story, which takes place mainly in the first and last chapters. Two brothers, Ethan and Cathy, waiting for the return of her father, when a bad storm raging outside. A stranger knocks on the door and asks to be let. Since the weather is so terrible, and there is a risk that it blows the man from the cliff, let the children come him, and he has by giving them stories.
The rest is again of short horror stories that are just as successful as the first volume. Montague that in the context of action occurs at the edge, made me happy.

one hundred and first Tales of Terror from the Tunnel's Mouth (Chris Pristley)

Again a sequel ^ ^
here consists of the background story the following: Robert is from his step-mother put on the train at the boarding school to go back. His first unaccompanied train journey is interrupted when they leave before the tunnel at once. No one makes an announcement with a statement and most people sleep in his cabin asleep. Only a white-clad lady who sits opposite him, is still alive. She sells the time by telling him horror stories.

102nd The Film Club [Our very best year] (David Gilmour)

Jesse, the son of the author was 16 when he was at school so little interest that he most like to plunk down all wanted. David allowed him that to his surprise, on one condition. Together, they should look at each week, three movies that would search for the father to the son after talking with them.
came this way the two of course in other areas to talk, and spent much more time together than do the average teenagers with their parents.

was a nice book that is particularly interesting because it is very true. I would recommend this mainly parents and / or movie fans

103rd The weeds country - in the footsteps of Nebelfee (Stephen Seitz)

Primus lives in an old, leaning tower, and loves the residents of a nearby town at night to scare. Whoever he is, he has not been forgotten and found. The fact that he can transform into a bat helps him scare people and is generally quite useful - among other things, he must never use the door to his house, so that is also boarded up and no one is safe, if someone lives or not.
lives in the tower except Primus still Bucklewhee, the skeleton of a bird's lives that in the big clock and announces the time. Down in the compost lives snigger, a gluttonous, portly pumpkin.
One day encounters Plim witch in search of something they should do beautifully (she thinks he's ugly, she looks great here. Your mirror is not very nice) the three. Primus actually has a strange stone that lights up at night. He uses it quite banal as a reading lamp, but according to Plim, these are a fragment of a crescent moon, which should have fallen to the ground many centuries ago.
Although Primus and Plim themselves are fiercely hostile work at the beginning, they soon together to figure out what is not yet in any chronicle.

A book that I very pleased. It is written, humorous, has great characters and then provides an exciting story where you can cheer good. That there is no major complications and complications, but everything happened fairly straight forward, I felt as pleasant. Variety must be last, and many other fantasy stories I have read were more complicated and complex, with vast hordes of protagonists and antagonists. When weeds country both residents number and locations are beautifully clear.
who want to take a look at the home page, click here , put up nice ^ ^

104th Midnighters - The Secret Hour [Midnighters - The Chosen] (Scott Westerfeld)

When the mother is treated, takes Jessica's family moved to Bixby. You are not there long, as Jessica sees one night out of the window, and notes that are out there seems to sparkle sheer diamonds. When she goes out, but is clear that these are only drops of rain hanging in the air. Nothing moves, only the rain drops that it touches.
When she wakes up the next morning, she thinks she has dreamed of. But when one night again happened and their parents and little sister Bethany shake not stiff and does lie in bed, the great feeling from the first time is gone. When she is attracted also by a strange cat outside and attacked by strange dark creatures, it really has had enough. Then she learns that there are people for whom the day has 25 hours. She is one of them. Some of her new classmates, who grew up with that one hour more, they take under their wing and try it in as short a time as much to teach about the matter. All
these so-called Midnighter have a certain ability. So there is a seer, which traces the dark pieces and Slither - these are the beings that it had aimed to Jessica - and old traditions can see and read. One of the young people can read thoughts and control, but this is less a blessing and a curse, as a high school full of students ever thinking can cause headaches when the ability not completely under control. Then there is a so-called Polymath, a surprisingly useful matter that is not only helpful to the defense before the Dark Lingen, but also ensures that one can easily study mathematics. And finally there would be an acrobat, the changes in the twenty-fifth hour, the force of gravity, so that he can jump extremely high and far, almost fly.
What is Jessica's talent that they are now trying to figure out the way while having their usual Teenagerkram, curious little sisters, terrible parents, and the like are employed.

105th Midnighters - Touching Darkness [Midnighters - The Dark] (Scott Westerfeld)

Shortly after the end of the first volume is already in the second. In the secret Hour prior to Jessica's house discovered a man who apparently makes photos of her window.
When they look into the matter heard, the mind reader, as someone thinks something about Jessica. So they manage to arrive at a house in which people communicate regularly with the Dark Lingen. People, given the Midnighters a thorn in the eye, especially if they can control thoughts.
disclosed elsewhere slowly, that there is another mind reader in the city, an older, hidden away and the gang actually a lot about the past - and why it seems No further Midnighter is more - would have to tell. Years ago, when they were grown in Bixby Midnighters still small.

106th Midnighters - Blue Noon [Midnighters - The Plan] (Scott Westerfeld)

Actually, the time is still accessible only at midnight for the Midnighters, so finally the title. But suddenly it happened in broad daylight. Cheerleader hanging in the air, is it still in school and the blue light in which the secret hour is always submerged, is also visible.
research group showed that the "walls" start between their hour of real time to crumble. There is a crack that is getting larger, and the Dark pieces are threatening to break into the normal time. The teenagers do everything to stop this.

So, the whole trilogy has been difficult for me. Scott Westerfeld previously I did not, but after enjoying this series, I've borrowed it also like the Uglies series.
I really like that the protagonists are far from perfect. There are tensions within the group, which all you need to achieve what makes them more difficult. Small glimpses into the past, to which one of the older mind reader Madeline is to show why some people who are aware of the Midnight, want to get rid of them. The fact that this here but maybe not better, clarifies that it has beautiful shades of gray, and not detract from black and white painting, the overall impression. And because
Westerfeld not even too bad to see an absolute Happy Ending for all, I found the end the better.

107th Geography Club (Brent Hartinger)

Russell is a student in high school, not particularly popular, nor completely excluded and gay. In the mistaken belief that he was the only gay in the school, of course, he reserves everything beautiful in itself, to give anyone an opportunity to finish him for it. But gradually, he discovers that he is by far not the only gay teens at his school. His best friend, Min revelers are - after having a heart taken and has revealed to her - as Bi and lesbian currently in a relationship. The fact that even his crush, baseball player Kevin, when not only gay, but also impressed by Russell turns out, since the first time perfectly. Together they form a
Geography Club, to be able to exchange undisturbed, for what normal students would be there already voluntary register, and actually interested in geography. So they have a reason to meet and no one can get suspicious.
is of course a bad thing it all. Russell is forced to go out with a girl, and when he refuses to sleep with her, will spread quickly that he is gay just. Kevin and then he split up because Kevin is not willing to put his popularity on the line.
but is based instead of the geography club a Gay-Straight-Bisexual Alliance, also join the heterosexual friends of the clique. Like all

Gay Teen Novels, the [info] allround_nerd has been recommended to me, I also liked the very good again. Russell is a likable man - his mistakes, and what he learns from that intensify - and functions as a narrator with his wonderful wit

108th. The Order of the Poison Oak (Brent Hartinger)
times
To get away from the city, and dressed not permanently because of his sexual orientation to be hired together with Min, Russell and his other best friend Gunner for the summer holidays as Camp Counselor.
In the first two Weeks, they have responsibility for children with serious scars from burns, skin diseases or generally extreme. First, it is difficult for Russell to come to terms with his group, because that behave like normal children, and adults rumtanzen placed on the nose. He first inhibitions to punish them also, as "normal" child that is given but with the help of another Counselor, who himself once suffered a bad burn, under control.
Apart from Min and Russell are behind the same sweet guy, which makes for trouble between the two. Gunner and wants of girls know after his disastrous first dates in the first part nothing more. This is because an employee who would be perfect for him, but he responds to any attempts enormous dome allergic, so soon Russell also has Gunner dispute.

A worthy successor, sometimes predictable, but nevertheless, great read.

109th Attack of the Soul-Sucking Brain Zombies (Brent Hartinger)

Summer is over and school is all his gear. Together, min, Gunner and Russell's call to participate as extras in a zombie film that is shot in a different high school.
It could be so beautiful would be, not even Kevin is joined to the extras. Russell has been reassigned, but it's just a long distance relationship much more complicated. Kevin would always close, however, and after Russell - more to be rebuffed by Kevin - announced, that he can no longer engage in such Versteckspielchen as the beginning, who comes across too.
find that Russell's parents, finally, that her son is not only gay, but his announced visit to his friend even more, make things more complicated, because such a do not have parents in the house.
Luckily, there are there Gunner, the Russell is at your side while by Min somehow unaware of what little more.

110th Bride of the Soul-Sucking Brain Zombies (Brent Hartinger)

This is the story of Min's point of view. She has such little time for Russell, because she has a fling with a Mitstatistin whose friends like to learn in just anything because it does not guarantee good would react. Min
would not repeat such a concealed relationship, as it has driven them in the first volume, but her friend can also be very stubborn. So there are also problems.
Besides, there are between the Min and Kevin one or the other scene that his behavior - explained in more detail - as we know it from Russell's view.

I found a great idea, which was also implemented super.

111th Top Secret 3 - The outbreak (Robert Muchamore)

out the third volume of James with his sister Lauren and colleague Dave Moss in the United States. There sits a fourteen-year-old, Curtis Oxford, after a killing spree in a high security prison in Arizona. His mother Jane is a long-sought by the CIA, international arms dealer and to get hold of her son at her now worked with CHERUB. The plan is that Dave and James are smuggled into the prison, with the background history, already has a nearly successful escape attempt from the last prison where they were out, to have. They should make friends with Curtis and somehow break out with him, what will work with the help of an initiate keeper.
After they have created but with the wrong man, James ends up only once in the hole (solitary confinement) and Dave at the hospital. Dave then the mission is already finished, but James is ready to go on alone, and actually breaks out with Curtis. Outside, the two of Lauren picked up in an alleged stolen car allegedly stepfather. As Jane
Oxford is extremely careful and not to much about Curtis, pulls out something and the flight is for the Adams siblings still dangerous.

as implausible the premise here is again, by keeping in mind during the planning of the orders to all get involved in the right places adults and children of course always have the advantage unterschä to be protected, also the third order reads again realistic.

December

112th Malmi (Gerd Hahn)

Nele has built a small, cute snowman. Malmi. Matti that makes fun of the da is not so bad. Nele
night heard sounds outside. When she nachschaut, she sees Malmi supplies with Mattis snowman beanpole snowball fight. Then creeps Malmi is playing into the house to train with daddy. Since the furnace, and is very near, let Nele must come up with something quickly, they can again attract Malmi outside, before it melts.

A cute story with cute pictures ^ ^

113th Grimm (Christoph Marzi)

The seventeen year old Vespers Gold succeeds on the first day to get in their new school so much trouble that she ends up with the director. Her mother has come, and yet again no time. As a successful pianist, she has to just do the time.
A storm that swept through Hamburg with, nor the gloomy mood at Vespers, but all anger is forgotten, as she learns from the newspaper of the death of her father. Shortly after mother dies Vespers and the world a piece is remarkable.
Vesper will leave an old, golden key with which they can not handle. In the art museum she looks Caspar David Friedrich Arctic Ocean, since it seemed to the father was important, he meets Leander Nachtsheim. He also has lost both parents in a short time in strange accidents. He, too, an item was inherited from which he does not know what to order.
as fall within the city all the children into a deep sleep, and all have the same dream, wolves roam the streets and Vesper is pursued by a strange man, do the two together, and investigate.

more I will reveal nothing of the story. By Christopher Marzi I had hitherto never read anything, let alone heard of him, but Grimm has really bound. fairy tales to know definitely helps when reading, but it is otherwise exciting enough, I think. The approximately 550 pages were unfortunately a bit short, which leads to a somewhat rushed acting showdown. Content could convince me but still full. Now I just need
other books by Marzi read to determine whether I will be of the opinion that it is better ^ ^

114th The books of Umber - the boy found (PW Catanese)

A book whose cover spoke to me so that I asked for lack of reading copy from the publisher for a first time. This was then soon, and I was able to buckle down ^ ^

A boy wakes up in a dark cave. He does not know where he is, he does not know who he is, but at least he has not forgotten how to speak and understand the world around them to some extent. From the darkness he is brought by Lord Umber, in his capacity researchers, inventors and royal advisers. He takes care of the boy and gives him the name Happenstance - Hap shortly. On a whaling he takes the boy to Kurahaven where they try to find out more about Hap.
because whoever he is, he is different than any other man. It can be much better and also see in the dark, he can jump surprisingly high, and the coolest feature: it can read anything, no matter what language it is written.
becomes a bigger problem than his home soon became a remarkable runner who was already on the sea seen from time to time. Despite the practical ability to drive the whaling, even under water, they could shake off but it seems not, and now he is working hard to get at Hap.

It was exciting and imaginative, sometimes scary or disgusting and was fun to read. Boroon the whale to the ship on the back is cool and easy let me think a little of the wave runners trilogy - whether the two whales are probably related? XD Where
Lord Umber all his inventions ago, I found very interesting, so I want to read the sequel in any case. And all the minor characters have all that for themselves. In particular, the pursuer has it all, I would like to see implemented on film to get ^ ^
The only thing that bothered me personally and was the name of the boy. Every time when I read that, I had then that is Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible voice in my head ... , What a crazy random happenstance '- no matter how far I had progressed with the book, heard it just does not _..

115th Melody of mermaids (Michelle Lovric)

This is the book for which I needed in my life by far the longest to read it. Beginning of 2010 I started. Lies not in the content, but is the fault of my friend, I read it (so we're still not quite) and allow me did not want it easy to read ever done (the last 60 pages I have simply but ever before-read before I read to them on xD)

1899, summer. Teodora lives of announces with Parents in Naples. As in Venice, but threatens to sink, all the great scientists are ordered there. This includes Teos parents. Together with another family whose daughter Maria with Teo does not understand so they travel so there.
While the parents of the both are busy with research, Teo will land in a bookstore, where she is suddenly a book on his head. As compensation, she gives the shop owner and a dangerous adventure takes its course.
The book is the "key to the secret city," a book that can answer questions, as a map Teo serves and somehow, between the worlds' obsolete. From then on, adults can not they see what their parents prepare course very sorry to think now they had disappeared.
Maria, meanwhile, has settled out a fling with a young man, Teo is not a bit scary. It did, the wonderful ability to say what people see in writing which float above, and the young man has a very strange, ancient-looking font. As the key
Teo eventually leads to a group of mermaids - which are so different than the mermaids that we know otherwise - is clear what is going on in Venice. The spirit of Bajamonte Tiepolo, also known as Il Traditore trying to usurp the dominion over the city itself and the Venetians to destroy it if possible. Help comes in the beginning of this butcher Biasio, which offers hands chopped off, clamped under his arm and head sewn falschrum feet a ghastly spectacle.
Teo is now working with Renzo, an arrogant but historically very educated Venetian boy, drawn ever deeper into the events and does everything in the to save the city.

recommend the book by the publisher 12 or 13 year olds, what can I write is limited. With the protagonists are young readers can identify correctly, and linguistically, it is no problem, but it describes some really gruesome scenes, so it will not get any good.
Some people will already be at age 10 in a position to put away easily, for others it is with 15 yet.
Since one must not let the cover mislead.
I personally liked the book well. At times it seems a bit half-baked or rushed, while on another site, something tough reading is fun but I had it a lot. Teo's ability to read what others say, is unfortunately not exploited to the fullest, and mostly just described, rather than simply attaching each person a different font - that would have made the reading experience even better. But after all, what is a certain mermaid on its own will, as written, how does it Teo. With an unconventional case-sensitive, and increased use of characters such as &
In general, the mermaids a real highlight. They curse like sailors and behave otherwise not very distinguished

116th The valley Season1.1 - The Game (Krystyna Kuhn)

A week after school starts hit a Julia and her gifted brother at Grace College in the Rocky Mountains. Where do they come from, and what they hide well, dissolves only to gradually. Among others, Robert is so plagued by nightmares.
Luckily for the siblings, it only after their arrival, a welcome party. Rising on the site of an old boat house and gets a little out of control, as Robert sees a girl in the Mirror Lake jump and never reappeared. He even jumps into the lake and tried to come to the site where it happened, when the water level rises suddenly and created strong waves. Afterwards, of course, no one believes him
the story.
And as soon when the corpse of a fellow student, Robert's credibility is not restored, because sitting in a wheelchair and could have made it impossible to ever get up first on the cliff.

Krystyna Kuhn has already published several thrillers and I can only hope that they are better than that, the story is ill-conceived and brings no reason supernaturally tinged one, which then declared but not yet in general is being challenged by the protagonists. Which in turn are all unsympathetic, that I could suffer with not a bit - that would happen would be to lack of power was no problem. This voltage is actually something which I expect from a thriller. Krystyna Kuhn tries to build but so clumsily that it's not easy for me moved. If as the main character hears someone, and is very scared, but Kuhn does not mention who it belongs for now - what you as readers may think the same anyway, and I was such a Do not place a single time wrong - it's not stress-promoting but annoying and unnecessary.
is also the fact that the book is not the bearer is also linguistically. I expect there really is not much, but it all sounded just cheap. What this is supposed to look young language affects the total artificial - because it would have been nice if the characters all sounded stilted completely ...
One might argue that it is, after all, a youth book, but seriously, young people deserve better reading than this garbage. Something I had not even with twelve well-found, as I have read dozens of cheap commodity like TKKG yet. Even then I knew that TKKG is actually scrap - for lack of unread books in the library I have won almost all consumed - but despite all the cliches and unbelievable scenes that would still be more demanding than the valley .
I had read the book itself, I would have stopped after the latest of the half. By content I've only because Frank Pigulla has a very pleasant voice, and talented enough, even the largest Mist breathe a little life.
What am I happy to have spent no money for it because I was happily working on a Hörexemplar.

117th Uglies (Scott Westerfeld)

the world, sometime in the future. Cities exist independently of a larger state, the population is supplied with intelligent walls, bring everything you need and at sixteen, each surgery to be beautiful. Basically, the body is created from scratch and bones are changed so that all about are equal, the skin is freed of any impurities, artificial teeth are used - allegedly happened this adaptation all appearance, to prevent strife and war.
Tally is fifteen and still lives in Uglyville to wait out the teenager in the village to get their surgery. All her friends have already arrived in New Pretty Town, but are found in Shay, who is also the last remaining of their clique, a new friend. Together they sneak out at night, and make all sorts of - revealed to Shay tally a secret. She wants the operation does not, and has decided to leave the city. Somewhere Outside there is a community that, like Rusty's - that would then we - live. With relatively few technical resources.
Tally must decide whether to follow her, or stay and wait for the surgery.

118th out Pretties (Scott Westerfeld)

more about the changes, apparently resulting from Pretties in the brain, and to test an antidote, can tally to operate after all.
After the successful surgery she remembers only to specific experiences they had in Uglyville. Their time in the Smoke she has forgotten. When her
by then one of the Smokies a message is conveyed that it leads to two pills she begins slowly to remember. She and her friend Zane, who take a clear head for continually reacts and his adrenaline level to rise, brings each one of those little white balls - and in fact, both can use the time more clearly think Tally's memories return and more apparent.
But Zane is suddenly plagued by more and more headaches that it greatly restrict soon.

119th Specials (Scott Westerfeld)

The secret police, the Tally had been urged to infiltrate the Smokies, did not some of the formerly young people living in the Smoke made Pretties, but formed a special unit from them. Tally is forced to join, it creates but despite recent brain surgery not to fit really. Your new body is a fighting machine, it is faster than normal people, more and everything looks much clearer than Pretty-time. And yet they can not stop them to think for themselves, and to question things.

With specials Westerfeld is a successful conclusion of a wonderful adventure successful. What do the protagonists have to go through everything, is really not nice the desire to change this society, therefore, understandable. As revealed by and by, as the world of Tally works and what all happened without the knowledge of ordinary people liked it very much. The characters all had more or less serious errors, especially Tally, which - just typical teenager - is initially very self-centered. What is their situation but also understands great. That they eventually had enough of it is that one is constantly on her brain rumpfuscht also clear, even if it is forced by the attitude to yourself to get a grip. All in all I liked
the story even better than the Midnighters ^ ^

120th Extras (Scott Westerfeld)

Another volume, but the other main characters in another country shows. located after the last adventure we accompany Tally Aya, a fifteen-year-old Japanese woman, in whose city the most famous people gotten the most privileges. Every resident can do a blog, share interesting stories, and hope to get to this face a higher rank. Privileges can also work out hard, but why bother when you can be just as well known to reach the goal?
Aya is one of the so-called extras, citizens Face with a comparatively low rank. When she meets a clique of girls who try out the craziest and most dangerous things, yet not just want to be recognized, that you may face not only increases rank, she sees her chance came. In order to be accepted it is imposed to ensure, for the first time that it drops from the six-digit Face fünstelligen to a low rank. Only then they can join. With tiny cameras
equipped and accompanied by her Hovercam Moggle, the statement has to stay out of sight, she gathers material for the best story ever to bring in her blog.

The book I liked better than almost Uglies and Pretties. Why I can not say, but it can not lie to Aya, because the tally is similar in nature quite, I think.

121st School of the Mage - the secret portal (Henry Neff)

Max McDaniels is a normal American boy - until one day in a museum provides a remarkable tapestry, whose pictures seem to move.
Shortly after he receives the news that he had successfully enrolled in the Rowan Academy.
emerged after an incident with a strange shape-shifter still a real employee of this school on, and makes some recording with Max tests. Then just have to convince his father to let him go to New England.
More content can be found in thread.

For the second reading it did not please me better and no worse than the first time as before noticed that Henry Neff originally had much more text, which was then reduced by that amount before the release. That does not strike apparently means that the lecturer has delivered no perfect job.
How much the story despite all the parallels to Harry ultimately differs from that was, when re-reading more clearly. Already in the first Tape is installed much Irish mythology, the legend of Cuchulain plays a larger role.
That it also gives not a trio, but primarily a duo, with the minor characters often seem to play larger roles than the minor characters in Harry Potter is also an important difference. Especially if one knows how this duo - because, unlike Harry Potter Max is not the most important person in all matters
^ ^ Oh, and of course it is always entertaining, that Max's father - because he was not sure at home - also lives on campus, and as a food lover in the kitchen helps

122nd School of the Mage - Astaroth's attack (Henry Neff)

Max's second school year begins and Astaroth is busy followers to rally around. Here, the world goes out of Rowan Academy slowly down the stream. Governments are infiltrated and overthrown, humanity lives in fear.
Max, who already is an advanced fighter so that he no longer trains with classmates, but with agents and David, whose magical abilities all other students far into the shade, advised by an ancient oath in difficulties. The Wiccans demand rightly, that it may hand over to them the two children. The oath, which is in question here, was done to Toth, the book - the Book of Origin, that the true name of all things and persons includes, and therefore infinite power gives it - to protect. Just behind that book Astaroth ago.
By creating a ruse to Max and Daniel to flee in the company, and embark on a dangerous journey through Europe to first get to the book.

The second band rocks just. Here fell on me any longer, my favorite characters appeared increasingly, Astaroth is an interesting opponent who is not a typical villain and Max and David are a great team because they complement each other great.
The end can hope to at least as good conclusion of the trilogy, which will inevitably find its way into my bookshelf.

123rd exists, the Christmas Pageant Ever (Barbara Robinson)

worse for children than the stove's not because everyone agrees. They smoke cigars, steal, lie, maltreat, their classmates and easy to install the entire neighborhood to despair. Now they have it too - managed to dust off all the important roles in the Nativity play - partly by threats, partly for lack of other volunteers. She, who would normally not even go near a church, have heard rumors that in Sunday school candy give what was reason enough for them to go again.
expected after the division of roles, of course, all of a disaster, and finally know the oven's not even the Christmas story. But that's why it is also the best Christmas pageant ever.

I can see why some people read the book regularly for Christmas, it's just great. But New Year's Eve, it loses nothing of its charm xD

Honorary Mention: Genesis (Mortva, willing and willing monster User)

The current RPG on digital Nippon. Since so much so text was produced, that I do not want to leave unmentioned. And although I am currently not quite up to date, I've yet read carefully each and every post, whether or not I had to ^ ^
The story can be said in view of the many characters, not much. Basically, this is just Around the World Genesis, which is just changing. On the one side of nature-loving, radical magician who condemn any progress, on the other technicians who want to simplify your life, and their goal of progress, even if it has to drop one or the other tree.
Then there was a neutral guild that got caught in the crossfire, and therefore all the members had to choose sides, so that they meet at some point in the fight again.

September 73rd The battle of the Dino Knights (Michael Gerard Bauer)

Yet another book in which I get more than I would have expected on the basis of title, blurb and cover.
work in a top-secret research laboratory scientists are working to get a dinosaur for a few seconds in their time, so he can be photographed from all sides and then analyzed. Of course, things go wrong, and instead of being sent back to his own time, land of the dinosaurs during the Middle Ages. There, two boys live with her thrown out of the castle, crazy father, who was once the personal physician of their ruler, in the woods - quite near the place where the dinosaur appears. First warnings are not taken seriously, then some knights worn until the boys decide to go against the monster.

The story takes place in three different times and is told from three different angles. First, we have
as the mad scientist who screwed up the whole thing - it's very obsessive, because when you have ever get the opportunity, a to be compared to living dinosaurs? The scientist is a journalist on hand, holding the experiment for quite mistaken, but finally researched when the dinosaur could probably be landed.
The bulk of the story is disputed by the boys in the Middle Ages. They have almost more trouble with the mischievous bailiff, with the dinosaurs. The course prepares them additional problems. The father is considered crazy anyway, so when he confirmed that a huge monster responsible for the death of a powerful man is not this really helps. Instead, he ends up in prison, and is to be executed the next day for murder. So have the sons of a good reason to seek the dinosaurs - the casually thus makes sure that you now believe in dragons xD
And then there's the view of the dinosaur. Is trying to get just another dinosaur eat when he suddenly landed in a strange environment with strange creatures and is scared the first time entirely - until he finds out that the small, soft things can eat, walk around the DA. True, he feels, but not yet.
This narrative makes the book worth reading, but otherwise it would be much better than one might think should ^ ^

74th Traces - Framed [Traces - Death shooter] (Malcolm Rose)

In German, I had already read the previous year. Then I eventually found on the square of the Amazons very good offers from all six parts in English and slammed. Compared cuts the translation from not bad, so you can read it quietly even in German, when the offering rather - since a miss in any case ^ ^ Again, nothing
to content: Luke Harding finished with sixteen years, his training as a forensic investigator and is the youngest. To recover from the stress of exams is not an option, as found immediately after the last examination a body and the case is turned over to Luke.
his side is Malc, the mobile computer that serves as a laboratory and files and also, of course, Luke must protect, if they put at risk. Luke from provides and that in itself does Malc him so he can meet his girlfriend. In the future, in which the story plays, one can get married, and the like set by the authorities, and a musician fits with rules not just to an investigator. So from the fact that Luke and is unobserved is a small problem. The following is the more deaths, and every victim had a motive and Luke. Since he has no alibi, he must also identify against themselves ... liked xD

even after reading it back to me very well. How does Luke's world is not explained, but might be just, and will be understood by and by reading. Especially fun, of course, were the dialogues between Luke and Malc, the sarcasm and the like only still needs to learn (Mynt would get on well with him, and it is there more advanced)

75th Traces - Lost Bullet [Traces - Ricochet] (Malcolm Rose)

Also read first in German, also liked still.
Luke is summoned to London, a seedy, dangerous place where people can hide well and not recorded. Crimes of the day here, but is shot as a doctor, is the reason enough to employ an investigator.
Luke, a connection between the Doctor and a non-registered white boys make, which was treated by her, after he was also shot at him. Soon everything
indicated that a cult has its finger in the game, because even on a small group of White, who meet regularly, is an attack perpetrated.
This sect is against medical treatment and looks at the white minority as a bunch of sinners, their pale skin color than punishment for their sins. Since the sect is also against the marriage policy of the authorities, it is for Luke may request the people know that he does not lie - - not too difficult to infiltrate, Malc can confirm however, that hatch in the regard is also not exactly thrilled by the authorities. In between times
is reported from the perspective of the bomber, but without that you can stay who he is for now. Of course, it is also dangerous for Luke, and also for the white boy, Owen, whom he persuaded to help him.

76th Puerta Oscura - dead travel (David Lozano Garbala)

Pascal and his best buddy Dominique are invited to a Goth party. Actually, they go out but only because Michelle will also be there, is in love with Pascal. Since he is not faced, Pascal is sent to the attic, where he is from a chest full of clothes was out looking for suitable. But as he rummaged through the things he loses his footing and falls into the chest. In the dark at one time much larger effect, and will not rise anymore. When he examined the walls of the chest, Pascal lands in the realm of the dead, to which the chest is a door that opens only once every 100 years the stroke of midnight on All Saints again to the Hikers pass through. This acts as a kind of wanderer link between the worlds, and Pascal was the right time at right place (or how you look at it also in the wrong place) just too long, it may not reside in the realm of the dead, or he may never again leave.
That the opportunity to go over to the grave, not only brings with it good will, must be in clear as a series of murders Paris in fear and terror. A malicious vampire whose goal is to get rid of the walker and close the door so he can create a world of vampires, it has managed to leave the grave. After
several brutal murders he kidnapped Michelle over the underworld in order to lure Pascal there. In Paris, meanwhile, identified a police officer who would hear nothing of the supernatural, but the medical examiner, who stands at her side there is much more open. Dominique is under the its own investigation along with Daphne fortune teller - the two are soon to be the suspect the police.

a good idea for a book is but unfortunately a lot of potential wasted. The story seems at times tough and bumpy in some places, the author is easily made, but all in all it was but something nice that you can read in between. And hey, the vampire sparkles, but rather is evil, brutal and sadistic. The 600 pages could have been reduced but still prior to publishing yet. Probably would get the book well, and it would please me better (and me, but I do not get enough in many other books can, and prefer to read a few hundred pages longer have)

77th If you die, your life moves past you, they say (Lauren Oliver)

Samantha Kingston is one of the popular student of her school, looks good, has three girlfriends and is also popular with a guy standing on the all. Friday, the twelfth of February was actually a normal day for them. She takes her friends to school, expects a lot of ordinary Valentine's Day roses, skipping the sixth hour, and goes to Kent's evening party.
But upon leaving the party, she died in a car accident.
wakes And on the morning of twelfth day of February again.
going through it again and again that day, and tries to create it somehow, from the time loop break.

Basically this is a Groundhogday history, what would have reason enough to read it. As the narrative is built up but, I was really impressed. On the first day you learn the characters already know so well, that one can conclude by saying "wow, what nasty Tussen" But with each new day finds you a little more about different people, learn other quite new to know, and is informed by flashbacks in the more distant past or more. So that one understands in the end, who was to why he is now.
Speaking of the end: I was reading genuine fear that, until then really wonderfully successful book is spoiled by an inconsistent end, but fortunately was not the case. I am not sure whether is it just because, or the book is really great, but it is for me the absolute top titles that I've made this year.

78th In the Country of Last Things [In the Country of Last Things] (Paul Auster)

a friendly loan from a fellow student who also likes to read Auster like me (the only one I know so far, so I saw him in nÄ next block miss especially will)
In the country of last things written in letter form. Anna Blume wrote to a childhood friend after she landed in a city where everything has collapsed. There is no industry that people collect garbage or search objects can resell them. The city government is unstable and does not do much more than to ensure that enough dead bodies are burned to produce energy.
Anna searches for her brother, a journalist who has been missing in this city. His address is with them, also a photo of Samuel Farr, who's brother had been sent behind after the not has more reported. Since the address of her brother leads her into a devastated street, she proposes for the first time by itself, then living with another woman and her malevolent husband, lands after the death of her roommate on the road unit, then in the library are scholars and clerics still reasonably accommodated reasonable and met Samuel. With him, she spent a happy time, but after she was nearly abducted by a man into a human slaughterhouse Anna ends in a homeless shelter in which they can then work yourself. Samuel, meanwhile, is no longer referred to as the library Shortly after Anna's dilemma was on fire.

An interesting dystopia in a nameless city. Life there seems so sad that it is not surprising that people are only still there because an exit is not easy. That exactly then, ultimately, remains open - in the letter ends with Anna that she considers it appropriate to leave the city, and they would sign up again - I like that.
After all the other Auster novels I've read is that also again a little out of line. In the past was at least not long acted much like here, but almost everything from playing more in thought. Although I also like it was a nice change ^ ^

79th Stories of Bad Dreckskaff: Mr. Urxl and the glitter thing (Philip Ardagh)

Bad Dreckskaff is very different than the name suggests, a clean, nice little town. If I could only be Mr. Urxl would be the dirtiest man alive. He is so dirty that it sometimes even shoots grow from the ears, so the rest of the citizens decide in one meeting, someone had to say Hernn Urxl that he is washed, otherwise it is thrown out of the city .
This thankless task is to Yvonne, hang the urban Enteneinsammlerin, but before anything can be resolved, roll over the events.

So far, I knew of Philip Ardagh only the first three volumes of the Eddie Dickens trilogy (yes, I know, but it now includes six volumes of times xD) which is also translated by Harry Rowohlt. This pleased me in English as in German very well. Stories of Bad Dreckskaff I did find quite nice, but compared to Eddie Dickens loses yet powerful. Ardagh for a book it is rather bad, but still better than much of what is on the market.

80th The Demon's Lexicon [The Circle of demon] (Sarah Rees Brennan)

After I had already read the last year in German, so now again in English. The second part would be read, so I have my memory refreshed again.
It pleased me still necessary and I was very anxious to see if the second volume would make me just as much fun.
Again, the content: The brothers Alan and Nick are together with their crazy mother on the run from mages. Back Arthur, Leader of the circle of Obsidian is apparently behind a valuable amulet ago, is alleged to have stolen his mother.
When Jamie - a classmate of Nick - is drawn by a demon looking for, he and his sister Mae help the brothers, as they have a reputation to gain an understanding of the occult. With joy (Alan) and reluctantly (Nick), the brothers want to say the other brother and sister to the side and go to the fair are the goblins, where demons summons that can be asked among other things, with them a drawing of a demon repealed.

81. The Demon's Covenant (Sarah Rees Brennan)

A successful sequel, which was quite different than I had expected. Unlike in the first part of the story is told here not Nick's perspective, but this time is that of Mae sympathize with which we can and think. In this way they play and her brother Jamie automatically larger roles, what we learn about her family, and of course you can see Nick from a different perspective.
Why did the four ever again meet, after they have separated at the end of part one is a the most important Plotteile. Mae finds out that Gerald - now leader of the Obsidian Coven - trying to persuade Jamie to join them. Even worse Mae finds that Jamie has not even what her about it.
Appeals to Mae Alan and Nick to help bring Jamie to reason, or should at least take care of him. Gerald and thus plays into the hands of the forces behind Nicks ago.

As in the first volume is quite clear in the end, you could see the previously completely different. Alan's a perfect liar, so the story from the perspective of another person is ideal. This worked with Nick, and that works with Mae.
Jamie I like the characters in addition to Nick on loved ones, simply because he is so quiet and peaceful man (okay, I admit, the NEN will get their homo-Bonus)
The thing I like the books very well like: protagonists do not survive in any case.
The end of this volume makes me wait wait to see how it goes (as told and from whose point of view the last part ... is really only Jamie, because if Alan would otherwise simply lost a lot, I think) Cliff Hanger - even if there meaner is - just what nasty person when it has yet to come out.

final tip for all other book addicts: sometimes you can get other people to buy entire series, by giving them recommends the first part. They are a loan from sheer gratitude for the tip like the successor, so that you do not have quite as high expenditure

82nd Traces - Roll Call [Traces - serial murder] (Malcolm Rose)

In the hottest summer, the UK has experienced before, a young woman apparently dies a natural death. Her death struggle lasted long and was obviously painful, but poison is found in their bodies any.
in December found another woman dead, a stab wound in the chest, but no reference to the murder weapon.
A third died in a sauna at an unknown poison.
The connection? All three hot Emily Wonder.
Luke and Malc are assigned to the case and soon come under pressure of time, as a fourth Emily Wonder abducted. A young girl who disappeared in London. Ironically, London, at the moment is not the best place to stay, because a large tsunami is on the way to destroy large parts of the town begins. Apart
fact that the case is interesting again anyway (except the stab wound that was just too obvious what was being used as a weapon), we meet again on Owen Goode, the white boy from the previous book. Under the deal which he has signed with Luke, Owen now leads a small youth center in which outliers play football with him and what not all. Owen is once again asked for help because the authorities put not a lot of importance to people not registered or to evacuate torn children - especially since they do not even know who is there so everything rumirrt. So Owen is to drum up all he can find and bring to safety. Luke, meanwhile, makes the search for the little Emily Wonder, and soon far too little time. But he will not give up yet.
good that he does not die, you can imagine so, as the series goes on still, but exciting it was still
interesting info from behind the scenes stories are in fact not written (from which I conclude simply that film / TV or Theater non-existent in the world) can be found on the Internet since even a few ... I think they are called myths, but the is rather the exception. Apparently there are mainly for entertainment music.

83rd Traces - Double Check [Traces - offender profile] (Malcolm Rose)

Luke gets the order to take care of a case of possible corruption in a Paarungskommittee. Here he is known to have something against pairing Committee, he tries to figure out if there really someone playing false, and helped a couple has to meet formally, or whether the authorities simply want to test him only.
was the way it still will agree that he case of a boy sentenced to death should check again. In fact, in Luke's world insisted that the investigators make no mistake, but he manages to convince the authorities to make him leave. If the offender is Everton Koht, a friend Owen Goodes, who doubts that Everton is capable of a murder. Although everything is against Everton - he was taken up with blood and full of further traces of the victim just a few meters away from it, and of course, immediately arrested. He says being able to remember anything, so he no longer even properly by his Innocence is convincing.
again entertaining, exciting and interesting information about Luke's world. Every citizen will be monitored at any time, investigators have access to each apartment, and may at any time require fingerprints or other samples, each citizen has an identification card, can be continuously observed by which, when He has stayed out in the rich North and there are so-called Smart Toilets that every time someone goes to the bathroom to examine whether there is evidence of a disease - in which case the person would be immediately sent to the doctor be.

84th Traces - Final Lap [Traces - Sabotage] (Malcolm Rose)

for the International Youth Games (a sort of Olympics) is close to London specially built a new stadium. But a striking number is the wrong building and then disappears without a trace also the organizer so that hatch sent there to determine who is behind the sabotage. That's even more, he can not prevent. Thus, two construction workers fall to their deaths and a swimmer who was allowed to test the pool, is a chemical that has been filled in the basin, severely injured.
Lukes Friend Jade is here again to make one of the party because she was chosen to be the music for the games. But instead to concentrate on, they will be drawn more deeply into the case than she is. When Luke disappears, she manages to persuade Malc, that he has with her a better chance to rediscover him.
also exciting and a great end - as with the Top Secret series of Muchamore, like me here is that the characters just are not invulnerable, just because they are well educated and young.

85th Traces - Blood Brother [Traces - Traces of blood] (Malcolm Rose)

Luke is recovering in hospital from the injuries he has suffered in the last case. In addition, he has always strange headaches, but which he only too happy to push aside as he is reassigned immediately after his release to be determined in the very hospital where he was treated.
The death rate is that is above average, and calculated Luke's real father is one of the main suspects. This must be said that parents get their children after their fifth birthday in Luke's world not usually seen. In rare cases, family members often meet, but traditionally has not. Luke's parents are pleased indeed to see him, but that he must investigate it, they do not, of course, just good. Fortunately, Luke finds
but also other tracks that are promising.

A fitting conclusion to the six-part series. Very nice, as here mentioned this is why Luke has grown so exceptionally large - is in the other books mentioned from time to time, but it is still so important, huh I tte not thought of.

October 86th Death march (Richard Bachman aka Stephen King)

As you all know is, last year broke all the hunger-Games fever. Even my classmates were not spared, and after one of them told me in some detail what happened in the first part so all I have borrowed her first "Battle Royale" and second, like on "Death March" got. The book I've read several times, but so far it has not worn off.
I think that Stephen King is good at it, explore his characters and explore their psyche.

In a totalitarian America, every year the march. The event first 100 young people march up to the end only one remains. No one may go slower than four miles per hour, who is slower, you get a warning. Those who still can not continue after the third warning will be shot by the soldiers who accompany the walkers.
Young men may volunteer for making various entrance tests (physical fitness, mental maturity) and If you are lucky (or unlucky, how does one's), they are selected. Who is the first time on the list, still has a chance to think about it differently, for it is then a waiting list.
Ray Garraty is one of the substitutes. Even before the starting gun is found along a loose cluster of small boys with whom he befriends and then more or less maintains during the march.

It may sound a little boring, after doing nothing more than to put one foot before the other and march, but King manages to make the most consistently exciting. Scattered is of course by anecdotes from her past, telling the boys to each other and the like.
If someone other similar stories - can recommend, step right up 87th with the titles ^ ^

- whether in book or film form Dead girls do not lie (Jay Asher)

One day, Clay receives an anonymous package with 7 cartridges and a map in it. Curious what you want, he sits in the garage, where is still an old cassette player, and sets the first one. Heard
is Hannah Baker, a classmate Clay, who two weeks earlier, suicide. At six and a half of the cassettes it has thirteen stories, thirteen reasons for their actions taken. Anyone with something to do with her suicide in context has to listen to the tape to then free to forward also anonymously to the next on the list. After
in the garage can not be disturbed, Clay borrows to an old Walkman, and migrates deep into the night through the city. He listens to all the tapes and follow a map to the places for Hannah had a specific meaning, are listed.

As readers get set before us in italics what Hannah said, while Clay's thoughts are printed to normal. Every person gets to know you are human and full of errors. I found the book very well, and it must not necessarily to my collection. That's what, what can I read more often.
For Jay Asher's success came as a surprise - he wrote his first book, because it the suicide attempt of a young family very busy. The fact that then - without much advertising - so good, sold and now is available in several other countries, does not surprise me.

88th The Clan of the Wolf (Tue Toft)

Nat wants a dog, and aims to get it. But would like to turn on the puppy, which the owners of the farm when his grandfather took him, everything looks different from a young and cute. He is already quite large, dirty, and has shaggy fur. Nevertheless, there is something in the eyes of the animal, and Nat has the uncomfortable feeling when Woody - the name of the dog - do not take home is something bad to happen.
that Woody turns out to be shape-shifter, it does not take Nat's family. Finally, he had as a young child even a unicorn as invisible friend ... But Woody is one of the king Wolfen. Shapeshifter, which are the most time in wolf form on the road, except at full moon. Then they turn into people. So there are roughly reversed werewolves. Shortly after the discovery
Nats is for him and Woody even dangerous. The fact is cut off from a secret research station and is now wanted by bad companions, no regard absorb losses. Additionally, they can also do it even with werewolves.
Fortunately Nats Grandma Apple from time to time premonitions that will help them. And his mother is not as harmless as the bad guys at first sight.

Most children who have seen the book on the shelf fell on it probably because of the elaborate cover. Here Woody is ready to buy, depending on the perspective as a human and a wolf - which is not a simple WickelWackelBildchen, but you can watch the transformation of fluid. The content is also great, so there should be no disappointments there.
Tues Toft writes funny and exciting, their werewolves are - in werewolf form - (the human form of his well can never take all) is very dangerous and their leader Lucas Scale is a scary a contemporary Nats on the other hand side we have a great family that sticks together no matter what.
Chicken House recommends the book for readers aged 11, though one must say that it is not for the squeamish. In the showdown, it's quite to the point (so a melting werewolf is certainly not a pretty sight, and who has a lot of imagination, it will imagine the worse) would
Who can new items in a reading test. In
Wolven (so the original title) is a trilogy, but you can read the first volume without needing to have a continued need. To me it certainly was completed enough (which does not mean that I do not even read the sequels will still xD)

89th I, Dante, and the millions (Frida Nilsson)

works as one of three co-directors of the Bank, in Helge, retires, Helge takes his place. A great career move, the but nothing but problems entails. First, the new director Helge loses case, the other two have given him extra, then even ten million disappeared from the safe. Helge is the same suspect, landing after a spectacular run to the dump, where he wants to stay at first, until everything has calmed down. There he meets Dante, a rat with which he, according to initial squabbles befriends and shares the apartment.

In itself a nice story that is at times quite funny, but older children could happen here not taken quite seriously when is simplified as the work at the bank represented so insane. Now, I am no one who has books to children any abstruse claims, but reading it seemed to me more often, as if the author simply underestimate their readers.

90th Barnaby Grimes I - Curse of the Night Wolf [Barnaby Grimes I - The Curse of the Werewolf] (Paul Stewart, Chris Riddell)

Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell are simply a class team, and this again with Barnaby Grimes clearly demonstrated.
Barnaby Grimes is a so-called Tick-Tock Lad, one of the kinds of news or articles in a very short time from one to the other Takes place. He learns all parts of the city not only very good but also know from a different perspective, because as one of the best in his profession, Barnaby also dominated the high-stacking - jumping from roof to roof to go over ledges and so on .
One night, Barnaby attacked by a huge dog, he can only kill with happiness. Barnaby is a good friend then disappeared, destroyed his rocking chair, blood spatter in the area. Barnaby begins to investigate a little, and finally comes to Dr. Cadwallader, a doctor, the need for free Dispenses medicine. He wins as a customer, and can gather more evidence that the doctor is somehow related to the huge dogs that have recently been seen frequently in the city. Barnaby Grimes

The books are relatively thin, with only just over 200 pages. There is of course quite a lot of pictures are printed, one is then afloat. But the adventures are definitely worth reading.
It's been well made that the first chapter shows Barnaby in distress, and swirled quickly to the most exciting place in the beginning of the story, so you know in advance that it is still dangerous, but not how exactly does it do so.
is practical in any case you can read the adventures independently, so no conditions order, or all gaps must have.

91st Barnaby Grimes III - Legion of the Dead [Barnaby Grimes III - The Legion of the Dead] (Paul Stewart, Chris Riddell)

growing number of corpses from their graves. The fear of being buried alive, is making sure that rich people can afford a small bell at the grave that in the event that they wake up in the coffin, can ring to call for help.
Barnaby, meanwhile, at the funeral of the absolute boss of all the bands taking part of the city, Firejaw O'Roarke. So far so good. But when he wants to take one night a shortcut through the cemetery, he finds grave Firejaws vacated. Only been stuck since no grave robbers behind, but Firejaw As Barnaby himself but just attacked by a water snake, he is not sure whether he has really seen it all, or whether the poison has only fooled him.
When he recovered, he heard rumors of other deaths and disappeared again begins to investigate. Why are the dead, what they do and who's behind it?

after me very well liked both books, I'll also Volumes II and IV TBD sometime ^ ^

92nd King Cat Mauzenberger (Erwin Moser)

cat king Mauzenberger both in cats and mice very popular. Not only because he has delivered peace between them. Well his birthday is coming up, and the course is to be celebrated. The best birthday so far it should be, but that is not easy. Mauzenberger is dissatisfied. The constant sunshine annoys him, he does not want to paint - and when he does, the picture is a disaster - and in general just everything is so boring.
For his birthday he wants a thunderstorm - what should the inventor Oskar cat with a mouse Rich's possible. The mice work under the baker on a giant cake that will look like the king, and somewhere a horse must be worried.
While all join in the work lies in bed and can Mauzenberger depressed by anything be encouraged. He remembers not even when he stole the crown from the head and replaced with the potty is.
As if all this were not enough power, also a gang of thieves out to loot the treasury, where they support Agathe, the giant found by the use of paper money had become green spider.

I have loved as a child, I love it now still. Erwin Moser I always like to read anyway, but cats Mauzenberger king is and remains my favorite book by him.

93rd As one awakens an elf? (Tanya Stewner)

Twin sisters, and Florentine Pauline grow up among books. The father is a publisher (or works at least in the publishing house) and her mother runs a bookstore. Florentine is regularly read from their favorite book of elves, which also mentions a ritual through which they can see elves, because if she believes in them. This ritual, she has often tried in vain, but when she tried it again, it actually works. A fat little elf (look see cover) whizzes through the air. Her name is Hummelbi, and sinks straight into work. Since all the other elves were getting weaker by degrees, until in a fell asleep, it must also assume their responsibilities.
Florentine Hummelbi holds first secret. Not even Paul tells them this because they constantly quarrel with it now has. But to help Hummelbi, the siblings must work together. They should ensure that more people read again stories about elves. And although about real fairies, fat, funny elves as Hummelbi. Namely what is now often referred to as an elf, pretty, tall, with glitter are really fairies.

A nice book, which, unfortunately, one or the other Manko has.
should be recorded on the plus side of the dispute between the two girls, and how it is resolved. This was credible and had the children seem more realistic. The idea that elves lose their power, because people have forgotten just how real fairies look like, I found funny - anyway I liked Hummelbi and the others.
were less successful, however, the illustrations - the ten year old twins looked like teens and even told me the style rather less. That said, I had also once again the impression that the author underestimates its readers in some places and therefore explains everything very simplistic. Too bad.

94th Honky Tonk Pirates I - the Promised Land (Joachim Masannek)

Berlin in 1760. Will is an orphan, lives with his best friend Jo in the dome of the cathedral. He earns his living by thievery, which he always leaves behind a black wooden ball with a skull on it, because it would be like a pirate. Will he hell dog would call. But the dream seems faded away when he caught one day, and is sentenced to death along with Jo. When they had got out waiting to be hanged, they come with a fellow prisoner - Kahiki Moses - in conversation and somehow manage to convince Baron de Talleyrand, for the time being to be able to survive. This chattering those in power in Berlin, the three criminals, and sailed off with them. On his ship, they have to suffer right - in the sun fry until the skin hanging in shreds, and then there are also gulls, which they consider to treat. All because Will the Baron has stolen an amulet.
Talleyrand at first but after they got rid of that land three in New Nassau, where swarms of pirates, and a second amulet should be hidden, which will lead together with the first one to treasure.
Will see as inexperienced beginners pirates and company against the others, of course, old, and even the Baron is still washed up on shore. Since they can only Honky Tonk Hannah help their pirate character as well. Just stupid, that pirates can not be trusted, even when fighting on the same page. As has

Joachim Masannek indeed committed a crime, "the wild football guys," I was very skeptical. But was pleasantly surprised. Old Berlin with all its inhabitants seems eerily alive and is so described that I had pictures of it directly in the head. The fact that the raids are exaggerated by Will bothers some is not, then the same with master thieves. The Masannek typical, rather ridiculous, cursing are used not as inflationary as the wild guys, but are extremely rare. Most of the people speak somewhat normally.
also part of the pirates will not degenerate into pure nonsense, but has partly realistic and partly just something fantastic. A bit of magic here, a little there to fight ingenious deposits. Just everything what is expected of such a story also
I am all in all like a great - the sequel, which was released at the same time, I still have not read that was not to get a reading copy. is to be filmed
Oh, the book also. In view of the story which is then something like Pirates of the Caribbean for children ^ ^

95th Alabama Moon (W Key)

Moon lives alone with his father in the woods. They both feed mainly on hunting, sleeping in a hole in the ground, take some home-made garments made of leather. Everything because the father is radically opposed to a government - not a specific one, but in general. Of course, he has also been told Moon, how bad is it, and that the government was after them. As Moon's father dies one day to a broken leg - medical care, he refuses - he demands even last that Moon should go to Alaska, where there is supposedly more people like him should be.
After he buried his father, Moon addressed the most important belongings in a wheelbarrow, and sets off. But after a few kilometers, it is picked up by a police officer and - because he physically attacked this quite successfully - for the first time locked in a cell. That makes him less than the police officer believes, because such good food like this, Moon bekamt rarely
After a short flight Moon is finally locked in a reformatory. But even as it holds it for long. Ehrlich, like Moon, he immediately had said that he will not stay long, and comes as a chance, he runs away. And notes with anyone who wegmöchte well. The school bus is stolen, and half the school leaves. Until they arrived at the forest, but most have been so afraid that only go on Moon, Kit and Hal.

A great adventure story for the guys that do not with fantasy, nor do with football a lot. The story is convincing, the main character you like, and even if there are some cliches, but also the other characters fit into the overall picture. I liked also that not everything always goes well and that Moon, so kind and honest he is, in a fight not fair fights, but to win as quickly as possible. Since then also added to ever below the belt.
2009, the book already filmed ( Trailer )
ran the first only at festivals, but I have read my, that he then also made it into the cinemas. And in March, there is then able to get a RC1 DVD.

96th Monster & Co: Werewolf in use (Beastly Boys)

Ulf is a werewolf. He lives and works in the grounds of the Royal Society for the Protection of threatened (fantastic) living beings, just KGSBL. One day he observed Dr. Fielding the flight of a dragon along with Juntier on the radar. Then, suddenly, nothing is visible. When they finally arrive where contact was lost, they state that killed the young and the mother was kidnapped. Any criminal is at work here, and with the help of some other residents of the area is finally Ulf Baron Marackai to track down who wants to make money have to fight two fantastic creatures in an arena against each other. The invited guests are allowed to place bets, and the winner is he who kills his opponent.

Sample
As with "Clan of the Wolf" is a loose picture on the cover - in this case, however, smaller and with only two stages. Ulf once as a man once seen as a werewolf.
The story is exciting entertainment for readers from 8 But many at that age could be too scary, and for older people, so from 10 and something else.
There are currently two books in the series, the third released in April.

97th Skulduggery Pleasant V - Mortal Coil (Derek Landy)

to avoid that someone can use their real names to them, this seal can Valkyrie. This is a dangerous business, so she told them no one. That they also could take a little look in their own future, about which she can talk to anyone or wants to ensure that they are of Skulduggery and company retreats slightly.
reflected the way the Irish community magician around with political problems. After the old sanctuary is no longer available, they desperately need a new one, before other countries to interfere too much.
also have to do Skulduggery and Valkyrie with a seemingly invincible assassin who they are to deter a convicted murderer to kill.
And because it's not enough will work hard to come eventually released even the remnants, ghost-like creatures, almost all of which soon people are obsessed, and which cause no good.

have the latest in this band then I completely lost track of who is evil, who is good, who was angry with me, now is good but who was once good but now bad and especially over who would bear the name and doing what and why. Still, he liked me again - I was a little crammed with story that is covered too fast, but otherwise worth reading.
I think I should I get the books easy all myself, I can read them again, and I might then People remember more xD

98th Olive and the House of Shadows (Jacqueline West)

Olive's parents are successful mathematician, constantly busy with research, and have less time for her daughter. Worse is for Olive, that they move very often, so they always need a new start without friends, and adapt constantly to new apartments or houses must.
There are currently summer vacation when it is time again. The old villa where they feed, is Olive from the beginning a bit fishy. Everything is big, dark and creepy. And Then there are the pictures that hang on the walls everywhere and make Olive fear. When the father they want to lose weight for her sake, he must realize that they are so attached to the wall, that is to make nothing.
When her parents even have to go away overnight, Olive explored their new home in more detail. She meets three talking cats, who say they watch over the house. Then she also finds a pair of glasses that allows it to go into the pictures that are distributed throughout the home. But what is more exciting and interesting first revealed at some point to be extremely dangerous, and Olive to be their lives fighting for.

Very exciting fantasy adventure, which also stands out for the scene of action. Everything happens on a very limited space, if one disregards the world in the pictures, not even olive leaves the house.
As I just pointed out, in October of this year announced a sequel, but if someone does not like the compulsion to read more, he can get to know Olive anyway. The book ends as self-contained, that it may as well stand on its own. I certainly did not think after the last sentence "and how it's done now?"

May 40th Marvel Illustrated: Picture of Dorian Gray (Authors: Roy Thomas, Oscar Wilde; illustrators: Sebastian Fiumara, Giulia Brusco, Gerald Parel)

After I had already read the novel in 2009, my comics were kindly lent. I would like to encourage anyone who wants to know the exact contents of the book without having read the book have Unlike the original, everything here is rendered somewhat gathered, the since long drivel that were rather bored, trimmed, it has been focused on the core of the story. If I've noticed that right, the first comprising of 6 comics a good half or even a bit more of the book because the story is only then under way. Nothing against Oscar Wilde, but the comic book version I liked it better ^ ^

41st Skulduggery Pleasant III - The Faceless Ones [Skulduggery Pleasant III - Skulduggery] (Derek Landy)

After Valkyrie and Skulduggery in the second book were fired from the Sanctuary, they find again for the first time as a spectator. would that they can consider a totally inept detective in the new work, not even notice a hint when it would be written in neon colors "note", hurts them most. That Kenspeckle also accessible at rummosert Skulduggery because of the ever puts in a fourteen-year-old in danger, makes the mood any better. are killed as
then gradually all the teleporters until only one is left - an arrogant teenager who refused cooperation with the Sanctuary of - Research the two on your own and find out after bad.
Somebody wants to get across the faceless in this world. If it works out, the world would be gone.

As with the first two volumes here the action is paramount. I still can not imagine a film great. However, I got the latest from volume three slight problems, I remember all the protagonists. Since accumulate over time the amazing to many that belong to different organizations or villains, or turn their own thing. Sure, you always have the most important in mind, but so slowly I lost track of.
The end of the strip is a nasty cliffhanger from the first I really had no idea how that can be resolved, but it is Derek Landy managed satisfactorily (and if I had a better memory, I would perhaps even come on it ^ ^)

42nd Skulduggery Pleasant IV - Dark Days [Skulduggery Pleasant IV - Sabotage in the Sanctuary] (Derek Landy)

Since then band four is content so closely associated with the third party, I had extra wait until both outside were so I could read them directly one after another.
are told how the cliffhanger resolved satisfactorily and logical - but it is already well on it half of the book. In the other half we got it with the Revengers Club to do a small gathering of known and vanquished bad guys who have something against Skulduggery and Valkyrie and plan the way an attack on the sanctuary. Besides, you can learn more Valkyrie true name, you can watch the process as she uses her new skills as a Necromancer and meets again on Billy Ray Sanguin, that can handle sour them on is, after they had wounded him in band three fairly heavy.

Here I had then the problem that I have for some time with the first did not know where I need to know again. Upon request, I was able to learn that I was not so alone. It just happens a lot with real damn many characters, all of which can be important in some way, rumnerven or halt in the background. But after all, was the precursor not so long ago, so I still start with what most people still could. It was disastrous until five band xD

43rd I am the Messenger [The Joker] (Markus Zusak)

After the Book Thief was so successful, and we took of course, other books on the shelf Zusak, I have been reading the Joker again. Was interested, and I've done the audio book to heart. Although I usually can not follow as well when I was not even read, I had less problems here. Probably because it was english, and I could not wander about as fast.
Ed, a nine-year-old Schluffi lives so to himself, earns his living driving taxis (for which he is really still too young) and takes care to otherwise his old dog, or hanging with friends. But when he gets in a bank robbery and the robber is by chance, everything changes. He
playing cards found in his letter cards. The addresses or other clues that are on it cause it to people who can help those he know what he is doing little by then. This
he meets not only a couple of other people, but also himself, and his friends a little better.
The end was now not sure of the scoop, not exactly unexpected, but it was fine, and has not ruined the previous story. And anyway the interesting thing was, the end was not really necessary and could have simply left open.

44th Percy Jackson I - The Lightning Thief [Percy Jackson I - The Lightning Thief] (Rick Riordan)

Something else that I do not read but had heard.
Percy Jackson is twelve years old and lives with his mother and a horrible step-father in New York. He is dyslexic, has ADHD and has been the enrollment of a new school every year flown.
So much for the easy part of his life. It takes
namely not long before he is attacked by his algebra teacher, and suddenly finds himself on the run from mythical creatures. His best buddy Grover turns out to be a satyr (which explains beard growth and reduced mobility), Percy is a demigod themselves, and together with the parent they are on their way to the safety of Camp Half Blood.
After spending some time there, his father confesses to him. Now he may move into the house of his father, and the cabin can of Hermes, in which his children and all who do not know from which God descended to leave residence. Slow and steady wins the rest, however, because he is accused of stealing Zeus' lightning ruler and gets ten days to return it. Along with Grover and Annabeth - a daughter of Athena - he is on his way.

After the film in theaters, of course, the previously existing books were in demand again increased, and so I was curious. From Grundpsinzip the whole thing sounded like a pretty typical fantasy story with the trio also quite typical. But the reaction has really succeeded, and how the Greek mythology was a mess out here like me.
I found particularly interesting the Erklärung, warum Percy ADHS und Legasthenie hat (was den anderen Halbgöttern nicht anders ergeht) ^^

(Which brings me back to the idea that in any case quite a lot of fantasy films based on book series, apparently created from the beginning so that they can stand on its own. That was in Inkheart so, the golden compass to , and winter solstice, it has taken to the extreme)
Well, anyway, the book has certainly been fun and I will do the sequels too someday. Recommended for anyone who liked Harry Potter and the like. But you should not be pedantic interest in Greek mythology, or likely the whole History into a single offense

degenerate 45th The Long Walk of the Stars (Willi ferryman)

Some years ago I read that before, borrowed from a roommate. In the boarding had my roommate equal an anthology of all four books of the saga Bien man there, and has kindly given me to read. Ca lives
1870 fourteen-year-old Luke Bien man with his mother and grandfather in Liebenberg in East Prussia. The economic situation is bad, so the grandfather decides with his troupe Zimmermann to go to America to earn money for a few years. Luke would like to learn with, something about his father, who was the grandfather regarded as good for nothing, because he wanted to paint only, and no right Zimmermann.
agrees After some back and forth, and the grandfather of Luke may come as an apprentice. Already on the first ship he finds his father's footsteps and is the sail-maker in exchange for liquor tell much.
pulls the column arrived in America through the land, build times here and there, something bigger, something smaller occurs at the log sawing against a modern automatic saw and what not all. Some of the carpenters left behind over time, the group shrinks, and Luke is growing up.

An exciting adventure story. Who might like to read historical Rainer Schröder, is also the book. Since I now know the three other novels, it is also clear why the first is the most famous one. The others are not bad, but I have not quite like.

46th time to love to hate Time (William ferryman)

1919 in Berlin. Paul Bien man touched down in search of work here. Instead of work, he finds a crumbling system, and street fighting. Right at the beginning of the book he looks at a shootout with in the death of a friend of him. Meanwhile, little brother Bruno agrees with Paul because he has no one else.
will also try his luck as Paul in the Ruhr area, comes with Bruno, hoping to find the murderer of his brother. comes

No question, this book is written in a lively and seems authentic, but the long way it approached no more.

47th Solo Volume 1 - Gone (Bruno Gazzotti, Fabien Vehlman)

"Gone" is the first volume of the Piredda Verlag appearing series "Left Behind". It is about a five-adventure series books for children, have been published so far four of them. The contents of the first volume can be seen basically as a prologue to the story. At the beginning everything is still normal in Fortville, the city that provides the backdrop. We catch a glimpse of the main characters - five children - in their daily lives before the inexplicable disaster occurs. Dodji orphan, the twelve year old Leila, who are originally from a wealthy family Yvan, grind Camilla and Terry, the youngest in the league, one morning left alone from all others in their city again. No adult is referred to, but other children seem to have disappeared. The five protagonists meet by and by, and decide to stay together. Together they set out to find other people to eat and especially after a safe lodging and some. be dangerous to them free-running dogs, but also animals that were bushed from an abandoned circus, roam the city.

The story is worth reading and definitely makes you want more. The image sections appear very often by way of film, like a story board - the panel is properly defined, the impression strengthened. It tries not only to play with the Panels to leave something to overlap, but all kept very simple. Are the simplified drawings. Colors are set very flat, shading shown by shading. Especially the colors are not gaudy, it will all be represented fairly realistic. The simplified style is out of place at times a bit too cute, and - if, for example, the innards of a dead dog are shown. Although an exaggerated Symbols is omitted, but the style will make sure that the comic seems more than slightly serious. Occasional sentimental scenes are weakened from the outset. This looseness is also supported by the background noise, which is often written down and in extreme volume displayed in red.

"Solo" is a good comic for children who are interested in serious issues and also the comic book format are not averse. The style is similar to the still very, witty and harmless comic strips, which are also suitable for younger people, which a transition to more difficult topics is made easy at least visually.

Unfortunately I have not got to read the sequels, and now when I go through my reading list, I will yet again wondering what is behind the empty world.

48th Year of the Wolf (William ferryman)

1944/45 everything still seems to be OK in Liebenberg, but then the Russian front is approaching and flee the bee's with many others from the village .
On the run they do to help, hostility, indifference, burning villages and frostbite children.

also remains only to say again: exciting and authentic acting. The characters are drawn as in previous books, interesting and likeable. That Luke here as the grandfather of the main character reappears Konrad was nice too.

49th Kristina, do not forget (Willi ferryman)

lives in the early seventies Kristina with her mother, grandmother and brother Janec in Poland. The grandmother is always an application for leave to Germany, where Kristina prefer Poland would remain. Even if it is there more as a German. After all, she has friends here and love it at that. But then
is finally granted a request by the grandmother and the family moved to Germany, where the father has been alive for some time.
is first brought the family into a transit camp until they can move to the Ruhr. Kristina everything is strange and she is seen as foreigners, as a Pole. Only when she becomes friends with classmate John she comes right in Germany.

stinks compared to its predecessors rather from the last volume. The figures are kind of bored and you feel with not so correct. The topic itself is interesting, but the implementation is unfortunately not succeeded so well.
The other three books I would definitely read it again, here the other hand, I would save me then.

50th Flavia Deluce - murder is not child's play (Alan Bradley)

put together a puppeteer's assistant with the defective car fixed in Bishop's Lacey, the hometown of Flavia Deluce. This soon becomes friends with Nialla and Rupert, whose appearance means a change at last from the boredom that prevails in the village. It may help both the construction stage and the rehearsal of the view from the village pastor spontaneously organized performance.
When the going gets tough, unfortunately, ends up not only the giant puppets dead on the ground, but Rupert the same time. Flavia, curious as it is beginning to rumzuschnüffeln so on, and stumbles in their investigation, directly or via a case that is several years old.

the first volume - murder of the Pie - I do not know. One must know not to enjoy the second can. The characters be adequately presented, and the first case mentioned is not great.
are people who find Flavia Deluce are terrible, like old, nasty, unappealing. Others again, including myself, feel the Addams Family remembers. Flavia looked at me a little like Saturday, which she also sees little bit similar. She is highly intelligent, argues with her sisters, who are so different from them (one a chick, the other a bookworm, which were mainly interested in Schnulzromane) goes further and it would be a normal kid do that . Since they have not only a chemistry set, but it is also more than well versed, they poisoned, for example, just place a few chocolates to her sister with a small amount of arsenic, to let the nurse get stomach problems. Through such actions, and substantial absence of feelings when it comes to body finds and the like, acts like a small Soziopathin Flavia. So you can be happy that they on the right side of the law
is exactly what the book did for me is also worth reading. Quite a bit of cynicism and sarcasm by Flavia is then cared for the humor.

51st Riot in paradise (Sabine Ludwig)

Although the twelve year old Phil has no desire to ever, he is on vacation from his father forced to migrate with him to go. The navigation system on which the father relies, however, does not really, and they moved for the first time properly. On the way they collect then another single parent, a parent with two children who are on their way to a holiday club. Next
the unreliable Navi unit following the motley crew suddenly into a slimy mass, which is the engine of the car almost the rest. But then operate the windshield wipers again some extent, and they can see where they landed.
The holiday club was in the women Schultze ZementaSamantha and Justin, it is certainly not, but it is a holiday club, and if one of Harry hemp stalk, the manager, is already invited, free of charge to remain as a sample guest there, take the of course. The fact that there can
the garden fences of sausage, plants from various sweets, fish fingers swim in the river and a fountain gushing forth a variety of drinks Philip makes one wonder. Somehow this is everything, as in the fairy tale of paradise described. The fact that he finally sees a running around, roast suckling pig that makes things clear for him. The adults think Harry
course hemp stalk, claiming that it was just a club that will be like paradise, and Justin, the annoying little brother of Samantha is interested in anyway for other things.
Together with Sam Philip tried to say the thing to get on the track, not getting stuck forever in this remarkable place.

Sabine Ludwigs writing style is wonderful. The story is filmed, as it is of you know otherwise, the protagonists are sympathetic, unsympathetic, antagonists, and the adults generally not very close anyway
If you know the fairy tale of paradise, which is nice, but otherwise the story is meant too - Philip, the story as a child might, in between explaining the most important points because Sam did not know it. After reading
keep at least I times the author in mind, so at some point I can read something else by it. "7th Sunday in August would be "as something for me ^ ^

52nd I do not want you to cry (Jennifer Crane)

Jennifer was 15 when was diagnosed with cancer. She held her firmly now lives in diary form, and the mother met a few years after the death of Jen's wish that it should be published.
The style of writing notes is that it was written by a teenager that has not bothered me personally.

Because I come with "today I'm blond" - a book with a similar topic - could not do much because the style was terribly annoyed has, I was here a little skeptical. Wrongly, however, as I could tell then.

53rd The trio billion and the Indian diamond (Richard Newsome)

After a great aunt, which he did not even know existed, he has bequeathed his entire fortune, is Gerald the richest boy in the world. His parents are the same on the road with the private jet to fly to the luxury yacht in order to go around the private island. Gerald let back into the care of his butler, besieged by paparazzi. When he opens one after the shock of the great legacy for the first time forgotten envelope He reads a letter from the aunt. She herself claims to have been murdered likely, and leaves the statement that Gerald should just trust anybody, and find out but please, who was the perpetrator.
Fortunately he meets after moving into his new country house - far away from paparazzi - the twins Ruby and Sam who are helping him with his research. The fact that he has a lot of money available is not always helpful and in addition to the case which he worked, he must occasionally also Rumschlag still with relatives who have 'only' a few Milliönchen tapped, and angry adapted.

Since this is a mixture of adventure and fantasy minimal proportions, I am inclined to compare the book with Indiana Jones. Just with children in the lead roles.
I thought it was great anyway, and hope to Fortzsetzungen ^ ^

54th Skeleton Creek - when evil awakes (Patrick Carman)

Here is a book to which I was mainly due to the attention of the envelope. It was not the design of it, but its defacement by a fat, green FSC label.
"Why?" I was thinking to myself, "now they stick to things already on the books?"
A closer look but it provided clear. The seal was there because the book is a DVD, and must now times have a rating.
But the content: Skeleton Creek is a ghost story in diary form. Ryan and his girlfriend Sarah have tried to uncover the secret of her hometown, Skeleton Creek. They have made a backhoe in the woods with the old creepy discovery, where Ryan was killed.
is released from the hospital he at home with a broken leg in bed, contact Sarah's parents forbid him. Of course he is not adhering to the ban and secretly exchanged e-mails with her.
As long as he can do nothing but rumzuliegen, he writes everything in which he remembers, in a diary. Sarah for further research while, has her video camera always with you, and sends Ryan passwords so he can watch the clips on a separate page.
Gradually we learn as readers, as it came to Ryan's broken leg to get on the videos at the same time already know how it goes.

A really interesting book put up. Who Blair Witch Project did, may find pleasure in Skeleton Creek. The combination of diary and video clips is well done, and if you have the DVD yet the sound it would be almost perfect. The synchronization has unfortunately quite cheap. As I've watched the clips again in the original (the English book you probably really only need the passwords and the clips can watch them online), the mood was much the same across better, and where previously no emotion played credible, I was convinced then that.
comes out in February to continue in German, so if you have interest to consume more quickly the first part

June 55th Reckless - stone meat (Cornelia Funke)

After his father is gone, Jacob Reckless attracts more and more often in the world behind the mirror. There he soon made a name as a treasure hunter, so that the richest people, dwarfs or Goyle give him different assignments. Will
One day his younger brother watched as Jacob goes through the mirror, and crept after him.
course, he promptly gets into trouble, so be Tissue slowly turned to stone. As with a Goyl. Together with friend Clara Jacobs and a figure-walker named Fuchs brothers, therefore make the search for a cure. As Wills
new flesh but just consists of jade, which Goyl are after him, they say that the Jade-human Goyl is extremely powerful, what the ruler of the Goyl exploit to his advantage could.

You can tell already the first name of the main characters: here are some tales of the Brothers Grimm mess out and shown in a different guise. Some readers find Reckless really bad, and it would most like to read before. I liked it quite well, and I felt like after reading in Inkheart not necessarily a desire to continue immediately to take in hand. With the ink world, I would not compare well in size. Sure, it plays again in a world in which one can escape from our more or less, but this world is very different than what's inside in Inkheart. Especially impacted the world and history of adult to me, this is doubtless because the protagonists are older.
The only thing I really do not like to Reckless, the Cover. I find really ugly, and even if someone who is slow to stone, not very sure look pretty has to, it looks just silly.

56th Strangers in Paradise Vol I (Terry Moore)
57th Strangers in Paradise Vol II (Terry Moore)

Okay. For information to the content it would be most useful if you just thread the of [info] allround_nerd read. Has advised me to read the times, and knows of course also well.
I say even now very little about this: I liked it - and yet I have not got to Vol III to begin, because the damned simply involves a lot more books than I and II, and me just in comics but then scare. Vol I, I had times - going so fast - and found it successful. Since the sound is there but still a bit different, I was not the same totally impressed. The first came with Vol II, where you can learn a lot about the characters and going on a lot of drama. I think that was the first time that I drove a comic tears in the eyes (if you look apart from tears of laughter)

58. Odessa and the secret world of books (Peter van Olmen)

was present as a reading copy, the cover spoke to me not particularly the blurb but even more so. As I already had announced more often, I like books in which it comes to books is that fact alone. If then also be able to offer a new story, as I have not yet got to read the better.
But we come to the content. Odessa is twelve years old and lives with her single mother. The father does not know, has never received from him says. The house must not leave them. So if it does, which would probably do everyone, and night after night, sneaks out the window to the city to watch from the rooftops. No one should be up there know about as good as them. In one of the night trips, she looks at her with such strange pigs being kidnapped her mother, and finds an even more remarkable, brilliant book. After a short chase
- has fortunately they folded their roles in the shoes for faster pace - the first time she looks after at home if their mother is not yet there, and it has confused some love with her.
The mother is gone, other pig creature are you on your heels, so stay Odessa no other choice than to someone who knows about everything to make the search. That someone is smoking cigars Lode A. A canary, the Odessa holds for not too smart (which I had to agree with him more often then) Together they make their way to Scribopolis, the secret city in the Appeal celebrities of writers who think we are all dead, live on. She hopes to find her mother and a reference to the father, makes way for a competition with where it is about who should be sent to turn a villain and must therefore come to terms that it is not just a girl seriously.

The idea of history is in any case ever fantastic. Many little things I noticed positive, some well-known writers are sympathetic or unsympathetic completely let loose on Odessa and the reader and what it shall indicate creatures and magic items, is also wonderful. Unfortunately, the implementation has, however, often bumpy, and Odessa is sometimes so dense that it is for the reader who knows a lot long before her, sometimes a little boring. Nevertheless, a book that I like to read.

59th Chronicles the world viewfinder II - The Palace of Poseidon (Thomas Thiemeyer)

Shortly after their first adventure together, given the troops to Carl Friedrich von Humboldt a new order. Near Santorini keep disappearing ships, which are drawn according to eye witness reports of giant octopus arms under water. A Greek shipping company owner is particularly affected, and committed about the team.
again with an opaque persecutor of the neck, they embark on a voyage charter, and Finally, the most advanced research ship of the time. They want to go to the place where so many ships have disappeared, to be there with a dipping shot in the depth to see what lurks there.
As in the first part, we get it so along with Carl Friedrick with Oscar, Charlotte, Eliza and Kiwi Wilma do. To support them are Hippolyte Rimbault - the inventor of the diving bell - and his daughter Océanne on board.

The mix of adventure, a little science fiction and fantasy is a hint in the second volume in the series again very good. With the characters with a fever is the same. And Oskar times just in passing that Jules Verne meets, the book makes it even nicer. Because of course the story is heavily based on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
The opponent this time is again very common, and a horse loose horse-chase is something that I can share my joy
In particular, I've enjoyed it but that Wilma this time quite a large and important role has played (which would have worked without a gadget from the first volume barely)
I should specify times the books that are written and look great in hardcover from real smart. If I had only read copies To keep before being given away elsewhere. _.

60th The Spiderwick Chronicles - The Field Guide [The Spiderwick Secrets - An amazing discovery] (Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi)

61st The Spiderwick Chronicles - The Seeing Stone [The Spiderwick Secrets - dangerous search] (Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi)

Although Thimbletack, the Brownie, Jared has advised that it is very vascular was annually to have the Field Guide, this does not deter from it, continue to browse it, and carry it around with them.

take them to the camp of goblins Hogsqueal, a hobgoblin who spits in their eyes so they can see permanently and without the aid of the seeing stones, what happened to it about for fun.

disappears then also Mallory and the twins set out to search. They end up in an abandoned quarry and discover that Mallory is held captive by dwarves.
observe After a spectacular escape, the siblings as the Dwarfs are killed by goblins that serve the ogre Mulgarath, which also is owned by the Field Guides.

64th The Spiderwick Chronicles - The Wrath of Mulgarath [The Spiderwick Secrets - Revenge of the Goblins] return (Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi)

As the children home, they find the house in ruins and her mother is gone. Hogsqueal reported that she had been kidnapped by goblins that they should bring Mulgarath Palace. The children also now go to where they are fighting the goblins attacked by dragons and will eventually have to defeat Mulgarath itself. Alongside them are here Hogsqueal, Thimbletack and Byron, the griffin.

Tony DiTerlizzis illustrations are great and liked the story to me too. Especially because the protagonists are so beautiful three-dimensional. Which act like real kids with real problems and the mother can also understand. Of course, the individual books all relatively short, each about 130 pages. The writing is relatively large so that the audience does not give up frustrated and also loosen the images again to all.
So, when I go back and think again because , I would have liked the books themselves also had easy to order two copies, as I've given away xD

July 65th The Book Thief [The Book Thief] (Markus Zusak)

One of the best books I have read. Not only this year but as a whole.
from acute laziness I skip a table of contents, [info] allround_nerd is Thread anyway very detailed explanation on the ^ ^

66th Silk and Sword (Kai Meyer)

China about 1760th Nugua is sacrificed to the dragon as a baby, so they continue to bring rain to water the fields. However, they keep the dragon and pull it big. But one day, the dragon suddenly disappeared without a trace and Nugua makes his way to regain it. Since they never had contact with people and himself feels more like a dragon, the beginning is not easy.
the same time on a large, solid cloud. Niccolo is an outsider among the people of the cloud people. His late father was not brought up to him to fit unconditionally and most like Niccolo would leave the cloud. When the Aetherpumpen suddenly stop working and the cloud slowly decreases until it wedged between some mountains comes to a standstill, his chance has come. Someone has to leave the cloud, and looking for dragons that breathe ether is known, so the cloud does not gradually shrinks until it reaches the ground. In their search
meet Nugua and Niccolo, sometimes they go on together. They are accompanied by still Feiqing, a poor guy who is fused with a dragon costume and has no memory of who he is or where he comes from.

Unlike other books that by Kai Meyer I've read so I was not here so much carried away. The trio was fun to read, some supporting characters were also strong, and the fantasy that has been incorporated, was also my case, but the first book read a little tough. Above all, what happened during Niccolo's absence on the cloud, often was a rather insipid slot, so I've always looked forward, when there was another storyline to the series again. Maybe it was because that I just never Alessia was sympathetic (which improved with the other volumes, even though they had to do since even a bit more)

67th The long dark teatime of the soul [The Long, Dark Tea-Time of the Soul] (Douglas Adams)

Because I come in April finally met its predecessors, I was thinking once belonged to the second part, instead of reading itself. Since I already knew him, then afterwards I have to keep in mind is still a lot ^ ^
last time Dirk has a rich client - and he has also urgently needed. He said that listening to clients, but with only half an ear as he explains the its location - a seven-foot wide, green-eyed beast followed him with a scythe because of some Contract - is the client's undoing. Dirk arrives late at the appointed time - what could happen eventually even if he is not punctual, and anyone who makes contact so early in the morning from a meeting, and expects also that one if and only appears? - And finds the police, who searched the apartment. The head of the client was on a rotating record is also found that the body is far enough away from the head that you can expect a recovery action was unnecessary. After Dirk
then finds also the son of the client - Gets broken and the prompt nose as he him off the TV - he decides to investigate, despite the deceased client further.
He gets into the most abstruse situations, get the nose of an eagle on demolished and finally meets the one or the other Nordic god.

So far I have yet read of Adam's nothing that would not have suited me. I think the confused Bays damn entertaining and love the ideas and thoughts chains that are found in the books. And because the stories are always so full of digressions, it's worth it then again, they still to read it, because you have so much at once Randomn do not even notice (I do not at least) can

August 68th Lance and light (Kai Meyer)

The way the trio split up for now. Niccolo force is applied only once on the way to Tieguai, one of the last immortals, in order to warn him about Moon Child, which already has some immortals on his conscience. Impractical here that Niccolo is due to a magical connection madly in love with the moon child, and it does not have the heart to really fight against them.
Nugua during the other of an immortal, Li, with its crane to the dragon graveyard, where they hope to answer the first question of the whereabouts of the dragon, and secondly, try, Nugua rid of a deadly curse.
Feiqing follows the two together with a sword fighter Whisperwind walk. On the island there
clouds Alessia meanwhile out some, and makes itself into the heart of the cloud in order to find the remaining residual ether.

From here I was again completely drawn into the spell of the story and have kept their books as the other usual. Alessia I still did not, but at least more interesting things happen on the cloud. The triangular love story was the fact that Niccolo moon child just does not love does not voluntarily do so tacky, and I was always glad when Feiqing has loosened up the whole drama with his presence - even though he actually is a very tragic figure. But in the costume he can be not easy to take seriously

69th Dragon and diamond (Kai Meyer)

The protagonists have arrived at the dragon and you wait really only that the final battle starts. Various parties are found to close one and it is damn exciting.

Yes, I do not really want to say more to the point where most other Summaries, which one reads anyway betrayed always liked me too much
the battles and wars Kai Meyer describes still extremely good, I think for that he has just the right feeling. It is never placed or exaggerated in terms of action. People - or animals - are injured in a fight or die. Nobody gets just confident and consistently clean to get through the fog of war, and that appeals to me. Was a successful conclusion, can forgive me, the tougher the beginning.
Misas thread for the series.

70th Like cotton candy (pink copy of the reading was) with silver threads (Sophie Bennett)

In view of the cover I was probably not inclined to read it. But my boss said that there should be good, and pressed it into my hand.
What can I say. I was surprised absolutely positive. What the blurb sounded forth quite banal and the rather cheesy cover design had turned out to be a successful and exciting story that appeals to a wider audience, than to assume at first glance.
One has not even interested in fashion to find in the book as to which one is particularly concentrated.
History: Nonie loves fashion and handicrafts itself also like the craziest outfits. Her friend Jenny has just lands a starring role in a Hollywood film. Edie, the third member, is committed to all sorts of aid projects and would like the world just want to make a better place.
occurs at some point, the twelve year old, crow 'in their lives. A child refugee from Uganda, whose family still live there must be some. She wears strange clothes, and obviously has an amazing talent when it comes to Fashion Design. Together, the three friends then crows promote talent, ensure that space and materials are available and they finally sign on to a big competition.

As discussed at the beginning of the story of how happy Nonie join the said competition would be, I had real fears that it is a typical underdog story in which Nonie then just join in all circumstances, despite there and will win. That they realize instead that it has no great talent to design fashion, and in time realize that they otherwise can do a lot better (which incidentally also makes it more fun) I was so relieved. And that crow just not easy because their talent as this simply by rushing, but are struggling just to the side with very different concerns and needs have - from their childhood with just a few, what little you get served up to is hard enough. Also, Jenny and Edie come naturally not too short.
One could say that but everything is totally implausible. And if it is written so that it comes across credible. The people who found work, real and alive, the sources that the girls open up for those substances and the like do not work too far-fetched, but fall under the category of vitamin B and I liked the end in any case because it has surprised me again ^ ^

71st Prince life (Corien Botman)

Charlie Prins lived happily with his family in a houseboat. One day his grandfather dies, he leaves a lot of postcode lottery . That he does with this lot a huge win, Charlie gets first do not correct because he is still busy to grieve in their own way to his grandpa.
After the gain is known then, the house boat from all kinds, new friends' and of course the press besieged. So the family followed the Council to withdraw the first time in a hotel, a luxurious hotel, where they will be undisturbed. His school friend Tara finds this step a little extreme, but believe that money makes you happy, it can not be dissuaded. Charlie is there a different opinion, except for Tara suddenly treat him any different. His parents also behaving oddly. The father spends all her time at home around - why should he go to work even if he has enough money - and is transparent gran from day to day. The relationship with the mother suffers from the course. Charlie wants
not that the marriage of his parents is going down the drain, and certainly he does not want a permanently bad-tempered father, who sits just in front of the telly, and not a bit more for the interest, which it earlier ago has always been fun. So Charlie decides that money and so far it must disappear purchased luxury junk. Fortunately, he has since the possibility to contact a young burglar ...

Yikes, I just noticed that the book has not even came out. There's only February, but what the hell, is not so long back.
I liked the theme is well implemented, and the characters all act to understand.

72nd Who knuffelt with Paulie? (David Melling)

A great picture book \u0026lt;3
Paulie is a bear just waking from its winter sleep. CRUSH Now he wants and leaves his cave. He knuffelt with a rock, because the best Knuffel are around - but feels so very great is not at all. Even the great Knuffel - a tree - is not quite right. Whether embraced now top, middle or bottom. The sheep defend themselves, the rabbit actually has something to do better, but still is so cute, then Paulie to bring, where they can be sure CRUSH satisfactory.

The original title is still great. Hugless Douglas ^ ^
The images are quite to my taste, slightly comic way and the color also tells me - not too gaudy but beautiful strong. At the end there is a small picture gallery of different Knuffelarten, such as the Gänsemarschknuffel or go-no-way-Knuffel ^ ^
