Yet another book in which I get more than I would have expected on the basis of title, blurb and cover.

So that one understands in the end, who was to why he is now.
Speaking of the end: I was reading genuine fear that, until then really wonderfully successful book is spoiled by an inconsistent end, but fortunately was not the case. So far, I knew of Philip Ardagh only the first three volumes of the Eddie Dickens trilogy (yes, I know, but it now includes six volumes of times xD) which is also translated by Harry Rowohlt. This pleased me in English as in German very well. Stories of Bad Dreckskaff I did find quite nice, but compared to Eddie Dickens loses yet powerful. Ardagh for a book it is rather bad, but still better than much of what is on the market.
80th The Demon's Lexicon [The Circle of demon] (Sarah Rees Brennan)
After I had already read the last year in German, so now again in English. The second part would be read, so I have my memory refreshed again.
It pleased me still necessary and I was very anxious to see if the second volume would make me just as much fun.

Jamie I like the characters in addition to Nick on loved ones, simply because he is so quiet and peaceful man (okay, I admit, the NEN will get their homo-Bonus)
The thing I like the books very well like: protagonists do not survive in any case.
The end of this volume makes me wait wait to see how it goes (as told and from whose point of view the last part ... is really only Jamie, because if Alan would otherwise simply lost a lot, I think) Cliff Hanger - even if there meaner is - just what nasty person when it has yet to come out.

The book I've read several times, but so far it has not worn off.
I think that Stephen King is good at it, explore his characters and explore their psyche.

Ardagh for a book it is rather bad, but still better than much of what is on the market.

After I had already read the last year in German, so now again in English. The second part would be read, so I have my memory refreshed again.

Angefangen beim Alter der Protagonisten zog sich das durch den ganzen Film. Ich kann ja damit leben, wenn jemand statt einem Internat eine normale Schule besucht, und dass in Filmen oft mehrere Buchfiguren in einer Filmfigur vereint werden ist auch ok. Aber die wichtigen Personen sollten dann doch beibehalten werden, sonst gibt es wie hier ein völlig anderes Ende, das von vornherein ausschließt, to continue to attach meaningful. From Grundpsinzip the whole thing sounded like a pretty typical fantasy story with the trio also quite typical. But the reaction has really succeeded, and how the Greek mythology was a mess out here like me.

Kurz nachdem ich das Buch durchgehört hatte, habe ich dann auch einen Blick in den Film gewagt, es aber nicht geschafft, den komplett zu schauen. Da war mir einfach zu viel zu stark geändert. Angefangen beim Alter der Protagonisten zog sich das durch den ganzen Film. Ich kann ja damit leben, wenn jemand statt einem Internat eine normale Schule besucht, und dass in Filmen oft mehrere Buchfiguren in einer Filmfigur vereint werden ist auch ok. Aber die wichtigen Personen sollten dann doch beibehalten werden, sonst gibt es wie hier ein völlig anderes Ende, das von vornherein ausschließt, to continue to attach meaningful. (Which brings me back to the idea that in any case quite a lot of fantasy films based on book series, apparently created from the beginning so that they can stand on its own. "Gone" is the first volume of the Piredda Verlag appearing series "Left Behind". It is about a five-adventure series books for children, have been published so far four of them. The contents of the first volume can be seen basically as a prologue to the story. At the beginning everything is still normal in Fortville, the city that provides the backdrop. We catch a glimpse of the main characters - five children - in their daily lives before the inexplicable disaster occurs.
