May 40th Marvel Illustrated: Picture of Dorian Gray (Authors: Roy Thomas, Oscar Wilde; illustrators: Sebastian Fiumara, Giulia Brusco, Gerald Parel)
After I had already read the novel in 2009, my comics were kindly lent. I would like to encourage anyone who wants to know the exact contents of the book without having read the book have Unlike the original, everything here is rendered somewhat gathered, the since long drivel that were rather bored, trimmed, it has been focused on the core of the story. If I've noticed that right, the first comprising of 6 comics a good half or even a bit more of the book because the story is only then under way. Nothing against Oscar Wilde, but the comic book version I liked it better ^ ^
41st Skulduggery Pleasant III - The Faceless Ones [Skulduggery Pleasant III - Skulduggery] (Derek Landy)
After Valkyrie and Skulduggery in the second book were fired from the Sanctuary, they find again for the first time as a spectator. would that they can consider a totally inept detective in the new work, not even notice a hint when it would be written in neon colors "note", hurts them most. That Kenspeckle also accessible at rummosert Skulduggery because of the ever puts in a fourteen-year-old in danger, makes the mood any better. are killed as
then gradually all the teleporters until only one is left - an arrogant teenager who refused cooperation with the Sanctuary of - Research the two on your own and find out after bad.
Somebody wants to get across the faceless in this world. If it works out, the world would be gone.
As with the first two volumes here the action is paramount. I still can not imagine a film great. However, I got the latest from volume three slight problems, I remember all the protagonists. Since accumulate over time the amazing to many that belong to different organizations or villains, or turn their own thing. Sure, you always have the most important in mind, but so slowly I lost track of.
The end of the strip is a nasty cliffhanger from the first I really had no idea how that can be resolved, but it is Derek Landy managed satisfactorily (and if I had a better memory, I would perhaps even come on it ^ ^)
42nd Skulduggery Pleasant IV - Dark Days [Skulduggery Pleasant IV - Sabotage in the Sanctuary] (Derek Landy)
Since then band four is content so closely associated with the third party, I had extra wait until both outside were so I could read them directly one after another.
are told how the cliffhanger resolved satisfactorily and logical - but it is already well on it half of the book. In the other half we got it with the Revengers Club to do a small gathering of known and vanquished bad guys who have something against Skulduggery and Valkyrie and plan the way an attack on the sanctuary. Besides, you can learn more Valkyrie true name, you can watch the process as she uses her new skills as a Necromancer and meets again on Billy Ray Sanguin, that can handle sour them on is, after they had wounded him in band three fairly heavy.
Here I had then the problem that I have for some time with the first did not know where I need to know again. Upon request, I was able to learn that I was not so alone. It just happens a lot with real damn many characters, all of which can be important in some way, rumnerven or halt in the background. But after all, was the precursor not so long ago, so I still start with what most people still could. It was disastrous until five band xD
43rd I am the Messenger [The Joker] (Markus Zusak)
After the Book Thief was so successful, and we took of course, other books on the shelf Zusak, I have been reading the Joker again. Was interested, and I've done the audio book to heart. Although I usually can not follow as well when I was not even read, I had less problems here. Probably because it was english, and I could not wander about as fast.
Ed, a nine-year-old Schluffi lives so to himself, earns his living driving taxis (for which he is really still too young) and takes care to otherwise his old dog, or hanging with friends. But when he gets in a bank robbery and the robber is by chance, everything changes. He
playing cards found in his letter cards. The addresses or other clues that are on it cause it to people who can help those he know what he is doing little by then. This
he meets not only a couple of other people, but also himself, and his friends a little better.
The end was now not sure of the scoop, not exactly unexpected, but it was fine, and has not ruined the previous story. And anyway the interesting thing was, the end was not really necessary and could have simply left open.
44th Percy Jackson I - The Lightning Thief [Percy Jackson I - The Lightning Thief] (Rick Riordan)
Something else that I do not read but had heard.
Percy Jackson is twelve years old and lives with his mother and a horrible step-father in New York. He is dyslexic, has ADHD and has been the enrollment of a new school every year flown.
So much for the easy part of his life. It takes
namely not long before he is attacked by his algebra teacher, and suddenly finds himself on the run from mythical creatures. His best buddy Grover turns out to be a satyr (which explains beard growth and reduced mobility), Percy is a demigod themselves, and together with the parent they are on their way to the safety of Camp Half Blood.
After spending some time there, his father confesses to him. Now he may move into the house of his father, and the cabin can of Hermes, in which his children and all who do not know from which God descended to leave residence. Slow and steady wins the rest, however, because he is accused of stealing Zeus' lightning ruler and gets ten days to return it. Along with Grover and Annabeth - a daughter of Athena - he is on his way.
After the film in theaters, of course, the previously existing books were in demand again increased, and so I was curious. From Grundpsinzip the whole thing sounded like a pretty typical fantasy story with the trio also quite typical. But the reaction has really succeeded, and how the Greek mythology was a mess out here like me.
I found particularly interesting the Erklärung, warum Percy ADHS und Legasthenie hat (was den anderen Halbgöttern nicht anders ergeht) ^^
(Which brings me back to the idea that in any case quite a lot of fantasy films based on book series, apparently created from the beginning so that they can stand on its own. That was in Inkheart so, the golden compass to , and winter solstice, it has taken to the extreme)
Well, anyway, the book has certainly been fun and I will do the sequels too someday. Recommended for anyone who liked Harry Potter and the like. But you should not be pedantic interest in Greek mythology, or likely the whole History into a single offense
degenerate 45th The Long Walk of the Stars (Willi ferryman)
Some years ago I read that before, borrowed from a roommate. In the boarding had my roommate equal an anthology of all four books of the saga Bien man there, and has kindly given me to read. Ca lives
1870 fourteen-year-old Luke Bien man with his mother and grandfather in Liebenberg in East Prussia. The economic situation is bad, so the grandfather decides with his troupe Zimmermann to go to America to earn money for a few years. Luke would like to learn with, something about his father, who was the grandfather regarded as good for nothing, because he wanted to paint only, and no right Zimmermann.
agrees After some back and forth, and the grandfather of Luke may come as an apprentice. Already on the first ship he finds his father's footsteps and is the sail-maker in exchange for liquor tell much.
pulls the column arrived in America through the land, build times here and there, something bigger, something smaller occurs at the log sawing against a modern automatic saw and what not all. Some of the carpenters left behind over time, the group shrinks, and Luke is growing up.
An exciting adventure story. Who might like to read historical Rainer Schröder, is also the book. Since I now know the three other novels, it is also clear why the first is the most famous one. The others are not bad, but I have not quite like.
46th time to love to hate Time (William ferryman)
1919 in Berlin. Paul Bien man touched down in search of work here. Instead of work, he finds a crumbling system, and street fighting. Right at the beginning of the book he looks at a shootout with in the death of a friend of him. Meanwhile, little brother Bruno agrees with Paul because he has no one else.
will also try his luck as Paul in the Ruhr area, comes with Bruno, hoping to find the murderer of his brother. comes
No question, this book is written in a lively and seems authentic, but the long way it approached no more.
47th Solo Volume 1 - Gone (Bruno Gazzotti, Fabien Vehlman)
"Gone" is the first volume of the Piredda Verlag appearing series "Left Behind". It is about a five-adventure series books for children, have been published so far four of them. The contents of the first volume can be seen basically as a prologue to the story. At the beginning everything is still normal in Fortville, the city that provides the backdrop. We catch a glimpse of the main characters - five children - in their daily lives before the inexplicable disaster occurs. Dodji orphan, the twelve year old Leila, who are originally from a wealthy family Yvan, grind Camilla and Terry, the youngest in the league, one morning left alone from all others in their city again. No adult is referred to, but other children seem to have disappeared. The five protagonists meet by and by, and decide to stay together. Together they set out to find other people to eat and especially after a safe lodging and some. be dangerous to them free-running dogs, but also animals that were bushed from an abandoned circus, roam the city.
The story is worth reading and definitely makes you want more. The image sections appear very often by way of film, like a story board - the panel is properly defined, the impression strengthened. It tries not only to play with the Panels to leave something to overlap, but all kept very simple. Are the simplified drawings. Colors are set very flat, shading shown by shading. Especially the colors are not gaudy, it will all be represented fairly realistic. The simplified style is out of place at times a bit too cute, and - if, for example, the innards of a dead dog are shown. Although an exaggerated Symbols is omitted, but the style will make sure that the comic seems more than slightly serious. Occasional sentimental scenes are weakened from the outset. This looseness is also supported by the background noise, which is often written down and in extreme volume displayed in red.
"Solo" is a good comic for children who are interested in serious issues and also the comic book format are not averse. The style is similar to the still very, witty and harmless comic strips, which are also suitable for younger people, which a transition to more difficult topics is made easy at least visually.
Unfortunately I have not got to read the sequels, and now when I go through my reading list, I will yet again wondering what is behind the empty world.
48th Year of the Wolf (William ferryman)
1944/45 everything still seems to be OK in Liebenberg, but then the Russian front is approaching and flee the bee's with many others from the village .
On the run they do to help, hostility, indifference, burning villages and frostbite children.
also remains only to say again: exciting and authentic acting. The characters are drawn as in previous books, interesting and likeable. That Luke here as the grandfather of the main character reappears Konrad was nice too.
49th Kristina, do not forget (Willi ferryman)
lives in the early seventies Kristina with her mother, grandmother and brother Janec in Poland. The grandmother is always an application for leave to Germany, where Kristina prefer Poland would remain. Even if it is there more as a German. After all, she has friends here and love it at that. But then
is finally granted a request by the grandmother and the family moved to Germany, where the father has been alive for some time.
is first brought the family into a transit camp until they can move to the Ruhr. Kristina everything is strange and she is seen as foreigners, as a Pole. Only when she becomes friends with classmate John she comes right in Germany.
stinks compared to its predecessors rather from the last volume. The figures are kind of bored and you feel with not so correct. The topic itself is interesting, but the implementation is unfortunately not succeeded so well.
The other three books I would definitely read it again, here the other hand, I would save me then.
50th Flavia Deluce - murder is not child's play (Alan Bradley)
put together a puppeteer's assistant with the defective car fixed in Bishop's Lacey, the hometown of Flavia Deluce. This soon becomes friends with Nialla and Rupert, whose appearance means a change at last from the boredom that prevails in the village. It may help both the construction stage and the rehearsal of the view from the village pastor spontaneously organized performance.
When the going gets tough, unfortunately, ends up not only the giant puppets dead on the ground, but Rupert the same time. Flavia, curious as it is beginning to rumzuschnüffeln so on, and stumbles in their investigation, directly or via a case that is several years old.
the first volume - murder of the Pie - I do not know. One must know not to enjoy the second can. The characters be adequately presented, and the first case mentioned is not great.
are people who find Flavia Deluce are terrible, like old, nasty, unappealing. Others again, including myself, feel the Addams Family remembers. Flavia looked at me a little like Saturday, which she also sees little bit similar. She is highly intelligent, argues with her sisters, who are so different from them (one a chick, the other a bookworm, which were mainly interested in Schnulzromane) goes further and it would be a normal kid do that . Since they have not only a chemistry set, but it is also more than well versed, they poisoned, for example, just place a few chocolates to her sister with a small amount of arsenic, to let the nurse get stomach problems. Through such actions, and substantial absence of feelings when it comes to body finds and the like, acts like a small Soziopathin Flavia. So you can be happy that they on the right side of the law
is exactly what the book did for me is also worth reading. Quite a bit of cynicism and sarcasm by Flavia is then cared for the humor.
51st Riot in paradise (Sabine Ludwig)
Although the twelve year old Phil has no desire to ever, he is on vacation from his father forced to migrate with him to go. The navigation system on which the father relies, however, does not really, and they moved for the first time properly. On the way they collect then another single parent, a parent with two children who are on their way to a holiday club. Next
the unreliable Navi unit following the motley crew suddenly into a slimy mass, which is the engine of the car almost the rest. But then operate the windshield wipers again some extent, and they can see where they landed.
The holiday club was in the women Schultze ZementaSamantha and Justin, it is certainly not, but it is a holiday club, and if one of Harry hemp stalk, the manager, is already invited, free of charge to remain as a sample guest there, take the of course. The fact that there can
the garden fences of sausage, plants from various sweets, fish fingers swim in the river and a fountain gushing forth a variety of drinks Philip makes one wonder. Somehow this is everything, as in the fairy tale of paradise described. The fact that he finally sees a running around, roast suckling pig that makes things clear for him. The adults think Harry
course hemp stalk, claiming that it was just a club that will be like paradise, and Justin, the annoying little brother of Samantha is interested in anyway for other things.
Together with Sam Philip tried to say the thing to get on the track, not getting stuck forever in this remarkable place.
Sabine Ludwigs writing style is wonderful. The story is filmed, as it is of you know otherwise, the protagonists are sympathetic, unsympathetic, antagonists, and the adults generally not very close anyway
If you know the fairy tale of paradise, which is nice, but otherwise the story is meant too - Philip, the story as a child might, in between explaining the most important points because Sam did not know it. After reading
keep at least I times the author in mind, so at some point I can read something else by it. "7th Sunday in August would be "as something for me ^ ^
52nd I do not want you to cry (Jennifer Crane)
Jennifer was 15 when was diagnosed with cancer. She held her firmly now lives in diary form, and the mother met a few years after the death of Jen's wish that it should be published.
The style of writing notes is that it was written by a teenager that has not bothered me personally.
Because I come with "today I'm blond" - a book with a similar topic - could not do much because the style was terribly annoyed has, I was here a little skeptical. Wrongly, however, as I could tell then.
53rd The trio billion and the Indian diamond (Richard Newsome)
After a great aunt, which he did not even know existed, he has bequeathed his entire fortune, is Gerald the richest boy in the world. His parents are the same on the road with the private jet to fly to the luxury yacht in order to go around the private island. Gerald let back into the care of his butler, besieged by paparazzi. When he opens one after the shock of the great legacy for the first time forgotten envelope He reads a letter from the aunt. She herself claims to have been murdered likely, and leaves the statement that Gerald should just trust anybody, and find out but please, who was the perpetrator.
Fortunately he meets after moving into his new country house - far away from paparazzi - the twins Ruby and Sam who are helping him with his research. The fact that he has a lot of money available is not always helpful and in addition to the case which he worked, he must occasionally also Rumschlag still with relatives who have 'only' a few Milliönchen tapped, and angry adapted.
Since this is a mixture of adventure and fantasy minimal proportions, I am inclined to compare the book with Indiana Jones. Just with children in the lead roles.
I thought it was great anyway, and hope to Fortzsetzungen ^ ^
54th Skeleton Creek - when evil awakes (Patrick Carman)
Here is a book to which I was mainly due to the attention of the envelope. It was not the design of it, but its defacement by a fat, green FSC label.
"Why?" I was thinking to myself, "now they stick to things already on the books?"
A closer look but it provided clear. The seal was there because the book is a DVD, and must now times have a rating.
But the content: Skeleton Creek is a ghost story in diary form. Ryan and his girlfriend Sarah have tried to uncover the secret of her hometown, Skeleton Creek. They have made a backhoe in the woods with the old creepy discovery, where Ryan was killed.
is released from the hospital he at home with a broken leg in bed, contact Sarah's parents forbid him. Of course he is not adhering to the ban and secretly exchanged e-mails with her.
As long as he can do nothing but rumzuliegen, he writes everything in which he remembers, in a diary. Sarah for further research while, has her video camera always with you, and sends Ryan passwords so he can watch the clips on a separate page.
Gradually we learn as readers, as it came to Ryan's broken leg to get on the videos at the same time already know how it goes.
A really interesting book put up. Who Blair Witch Project did, may find pleasure in Skeleton Creek. The combination of diary and video clips is well done, and if you have the DVD yet the sound it would be almost perfect. The synchronization has unfortunately quite cheap. As I've watched the clips again in the original (the English book you probably really only need the passwords and the clips can watch them online), the mood was much the same across better, and where previously no emotion played credible, I was convinced then that.
comes out in February to continue in German, so if you have interest to consume more quickly the first part
June 55th Reckless - stone meat (Cornelia Funke)
After his father is gone, Jacob Reckless attracts more and more often in the world behind the mirror. There he soon made a name as a treasure hunter, so that the richest people, dwarfs or Goyle give him different assignments. Will
One day his younger brother watched as Jacob goes through the mirror, and crept after him.
course, he promptly gets into trouble, so be Tissue slowly turned to stone. As with a Goyl. Together with friend Clara Jacobs and a figure-walker named Fuchs brothers, therefore make the search for a cure. As Wills
new flesh but just consists of jade, which Goyl are after him, they say that the Jade-human Goyl is extremely powerful, what the ruler of the Goyl exploit to his advantage could.
You can tell already the first name of the main characters: here are some tales of the Brothers Grimm mess out and shown in a different guise. Some readers find Reckless really bad, and it would most like to read before. I liked it quite well, and I felt like after reading in Inkheart not necessarily a desire to continue immediately to take in hand. With the ink world, I would not compare well in size. Sure, it plays again in a world in which one can escape from our more or less, but this world is very different than what's inside in Inkheart. Especially impacted the world and history of adult to me, this is doubtless because the protagonists are older.
The only thing I really do not like to Reckless, the Cover. I find really ugly, and even if someone who is slow to stone, not very sure look pretty has to, it looks just silly.
56th Strangers in Paradise Vol I (Terry Moore)
57th Strangers in Paradise Vol II (Terry Moore)
Okay. For information to the content it would be most useful if you just thread the of
I say even now very little about this: I liked it - and yet I have not got to Vol III to begin, because the damned simply involves a lot more books than I and II, and me just in comics but then scare. Vol I, I had times - going so fast - and found it successful. Since the sound is there but still a bit different, I was not the same totally impressed. The first came with Vol II, where you can learn a lot about the characters and going on a lot of drama. I think that was the first time that I drove a comic tears in the eyes (if you look apart from tears of laughter)
58. Odessa and the secret world of books (Peter van Olmen)
was present as a reading copy, the cover spoke to me not particularly the blurb but even more so. As I already had announced more often, I like books in which it comes to books is that fact alone. If then also be able to offer a new story, as I have not yet got to read the better.
But we come to the content. Odessa is twelve years old and lives with her single mother. The father does not know, has never received from him says. The house must not leave them. So if it does, which would probably do everyone, and night after night, sneaks out the window to the city to watch from the rooftops. No one should be up there know about as good as them. In one of the night trips, she looks at her with such strange pigs being kidnapped her mother, and finds an even more remarkable, brilliant book. After a short chase
- has fortunately they folded their roles in the shoes for faster pace - the first time she looks after at home if their mother is not yet there, and it has confused some love with her.
The mother is gone, other pig creature are you on your heels, so stay Odessa no other choice than to someone who knows about everything to make the search. That someone is smoking cigars Lode A. A canary, the Odessa holds for not too smart (which I had to agree with him more often then) Together they make their way to Scribopolis, the secret city in the Appeal celebrities of writers who think we are all dead, live on. She hopes to find her mother and a reference to the father, makes way for a competition with where it is about who should be sent to turn a villain and must therefore come to terms that it is not just a girl seriously.
The idea of history is in any case ever fantastic. Many little things I noticed positive, some well-known writers are sympathetic or unsympathetic completely let loose on Odessa and the reader and what it shall indicate creatures and magic items, is also wonderful. Unfortunately, the implementation has, however, often bumpy, and Odessa is sometimes so dense that it is for the reader who knows a lot long before her, sometimes a little boring. Nevertheless, a book that I like to read.
59th Chronicles the world viewfinder II - The Palace of Poseidon (Thomas Thiemeyer)
Shortly after their first adventure together, given the troops to Carl Friedrich von Humboldt a new order. Near Santorini keep disappearing ships, which are drawn according to eye witness reports of giant octopus arms under water. A Greek shipping company owner is particularly affected, and committed about the team.
again with an opaque persecutor of the neck, they embark on a voyage charter, and Finally, the most advanced research ship of the time. They want to go to the place where so many ships have disappeared, to be there with a dipping shot in the depth to see what lurks there.
As in the first part, we get it so along with Carl Friedrick with Oscar, Charlotte, Eliza and Kiwi Wilma do. To support them are Hippolyte Rimbault - the inventor of the diving bell - and his daughter Océanne on board.
The mix of adventure, a little science fiction and fantasy is a hint in the second volume in the series again very good. With the characters with a fever is the same. And Oskar times just in passing that Jules Verne meets, the book makes it even nicer. Because of course the story is heavily based on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
The opponent this time is again very common, and a horse loose horse-chase is something that I can share my joy
In particular, I've enjoyed it but that Wilma this time quite a large and important role has played (which would have worked without a gadget from the first volume barely)
I should specify times the books that are written and look great in hardcover from real smart. If I had only read copies To keep before being given away elsewhere. _.
60th The Spiderwick Chronicles - The Field Guide [The Spiderwick Secrets - An amazing discovery] (Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi)
The nine year-old twins Jared and Simon Grace and their thirteen years old sister Mallory move to the divorce their parents and mother Helen in the old house her great-aunt. It happened a couple of strange things that Jared will always be held responsible. Finally, he has a long history and behave are his siblings like to play nasty tricks. After a while he can persuade Simon and Mallory that a Brownie - if he is angry does a Boggart - on the loose in the house drives.
61st The Spiderwick Chronicles - The Seeing Stone [The Spiderwick Secrets - dangerous search] (Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi)
Although Thimbletack, the Brownie, Jared has advised that it is very vascular was annually to have the Field Guide, this does not deter from it, continue to browse it, and carry it around with them.
Simon is soon kidnapped by unseen goblins and Thimbletack it is so nice to lead to seeing Jared Stone, by which he can see the mythical creatures. Together Mallory Jared pulls into the forest to save Simon.
take them to the camp of goblins Hogsqueal, a hobgoblin who spits in their eyes so they can see permanently and without the aid of the seeing stones, what happened to it about for fun.
After they freed Simon, they shall flee, while another abused and injured Access to home.
62nd The Spiderwick Chronicles - Lucinda's Secret [The Spiderwick Secrets - The Curse of the Elves] (Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi)
The Grace children go to Great Aunt Lucinda in psychiatry. From her they learn more about the mythical creatures and Arthur Spiderwick, their father. He was gone when Lucinda was a little girl.
Back home, the children find out where Arthur has to be gone, and make it not very pleasant acquaintance with elves. The elves capture Jared, who can free himself with a trick, but promises them that they get the previously missing field guide, if he is found.
63rd The Spiderwick Chronicles - The Ironwood Tree [The Spiderwick Secrets - The Iron Tree] (Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi)
The Grace go 'to a fencing tournament in Mallory. Jared discovered during the event, a doppelganger of himself, the rumwühlt in Mallory's pocket. When he threatens him with his pocket knife - knowing that this may be just another mythical creature - the wrong Jared turns into a little boy, and get real huge trouble.
disappears then also Mallory and the twins set out to search. They end up in an abandoned quarry and discover that Mallory is held captive by dwarves.
observe After a spectacular escape, the siblings as the Dwarfs are killed by goblins that serve the ogre Mulgarath, which also is owned by the Field Guides.
64th The Spiderwick Chronicles - The Wrath of Mulgarath [The Spiderwick Secrets - Revenge of the Goblins] return (Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi)
As the children home, they find the house in ruins and her mother is gone. Hogsqueal reported that she had been kidnapped by goblins that they should bring Mulgarath Palace. The children also now go to where they are fighting the goblins attacked by dragons and will eventually have to defeat Mulgarath itself. Alongside them are here Hogsqueal, Thimbletack and Byron, the griffin.
Tony DiTerlizzis illustrations are great and liked the story to me too. Especially because the protagonists are so beautiful three-dimensional. Which act like real kids with real problems and the mother can also understand. Of course, the individual books all relatively short, each about 130 pages. The writing is relatively large so that the audience does not give up frustrated and also loosen the images again to all.
So, when I go back and think again because , I would have liked the books themselves also had easy to order two copies, as I've given away xD
July 65th The Book Thief [The Book Thief] (Markus Zusak)
One of the best books I have read. Not only this year but as a whole.
from acute laziness I skip a table of contents,
66th Silk and Sword (Kai Meyer)
China about 1760th Nugua is sacrificed to the dragon as a baby, so they continue to bring rain to water the fields. However, they keep the dragon and pull it big. But one day, the dragon suddenly disappeared without a trace and Nugua makes his way to regain it. Since they never had contact with people and himself feels more like a dragon, the beginning is not easy.
the same time on a large, solid cloud. Niccolo is an outsider among the people of the cloud people. His late father was not brought up to him to fit unconditionally and most like Niccolo would leave the cloud. When the Aetherpumpen suddenly stop working and the cloud slowly decreases until it wedged between some mountains comes to a standstill, his chance has come. Someone has to leave the cloud, and looking for dragons that breathe ether is known, so the cloud does not gradually shrinks until it reaches the ground. In their search
meet Nugua and Niccolo, sometimes they go on together. They are accompanied by still Feiqing, a poor guy who is fused with a dragon costume and has no memory of who he is or where he comes from.
Unlike other books that by Kai Meyer I've read so I was not here so much carried away. The trio was fun to read, some supporting characters were also strong, and the fantasy that has been incorporated, was also my case, but the first book read a little tough. Above all, what happened during Niccolo's absence on the cloud, often was a rather insipid slot, so I've always looked forward, when there was another storyline to the series again. Maybe it was because that I just never Alessia was sympathetic (which improved with the other volumes, even though they had to do since even a bit more)
67th The long dark teatime of the soul [The Long, Dark Tea-Time of the Soul] (Douglas Adams)
Because I come in April finally met its predecessors, I was thinking once belonged to the second part, instead of reading itself. Since I already knew him, then afterwards I have to keep in mind is still a lot ^ ^
last time Dirk has a rich client - and he has also urgently needed. He said that listening to clients, but with only half an ear as he explains the its location - a seven-foot wide, green-eyed beast followed him with a scythe because of some Contract - is the client's undoing. Dirk arrives late at the appointed time - what could happen eventually even if he is not punctual, and anyone who makes contact so early in the morning from a meeting, and expects also that one if and only appears? - And finds the police, who searched the apartment. The head of the client was on a rotating record is also found that the body is far enough away from the head that you can expect a recovery action was unnecessary. After Dirk
then finds also the son of the client - Gets broken and the prompt nose as he him off the TV - he decides to investigate, despite the deceased client further.
He gets into the most abstruse situations, get the nose of an eagle on demolished and finally meets the one or the other Nordic god.
So far I have yet read of Adam's nothing that would not have suited me. I think the confused Bays damn entertaining and love the ideas and thoughts chains that are found in the books. And because the stories are always so full of digressions, it's worth it then again, they still to read it, because you have so much at once Randomn do not even notice (I do not at least) can
August 68th Lance and light (Kai Meyer)
The way the trio split up for now. Niccolo force is applied only once on the way to Tieguai, one of the last immortals, in order to warn him about Moon Child, which already has some immortals on his conscience. Impractical here that Niccolo is due to a magical connection madly in love with the moon child, and it does not have the heart to really fight against them.
Nugua during the other of an immortal, Li, with its crane to the dragon graveyard, where they hope to answer the first question of the whereabouts of the dragon, and secondly, try, Nugua rid of a deadly curse.
Feiqing follows the two together with a sword fighter Whisperwind walk. On the island there
clouds Alessia meanwhile out some, and makes itself into the heart of the cloud in order to find the remaining residual ether.
From here I was again completely drawn into the spell of the story and have kept their books as the other usual. Alessia I still did not, but at least more interesting things happen on the cloud. The triangular love story was the fact that Niccolo moon child just does not love does not voluntarily do so tacky, and I was always glad when Feiqing has loosened up the whole drama with his presence - even though he actually is a very tragic figure. But in the costume he can be not easy to take seriously
69th Dragon and diamond (Kai Meyer)
The protagonists have arrived at the dragon and you wait really only that the final battle starts. Various parties are found to close one and it is damn exciting.
Yes, I do not really want to say more to the point where most other Summaries, which one reads anyway betrayed always liked me too much
the battles and wars Kai Meyer describes still extremely good, I think for that he has just the right feeling. It is never placed or exaggerated in terms of action. People - or animals - are injured in a fight or die. Nobody gets just confident and consistently clean to get through the fog of war, and that appeals to me. Was a successful conclusion, can forgive me, the tougher the beginning.
Misas thread for the series.
70th Like cotton candy (pink copy of the reading was) with silver threads (Sophie Bennett)
In view of the cover I was probably not inclined to read it. But my boss said that there should be good, and pressed it into my hand.
What can I say. I was surprised absolutely positive. What the blurb sounded forth quite banal and the rather cheesy cover design had turned out to be a successful and exciting story that appeals to a wider audience, than to assume at first glance.
One has not even interested in fashion to find in the book as to which one is particularly concentrated.
History: Nonie loves fashion and handicrafts itself also like the craziest outfits. Her friend Jenny has just lands a starring role in a Hollywood film. Edie, the third member, is committed to all sorts of aid projects and would like the world just want to make a better place.
occurs at some point, the twelve year old, crow 'in their lives. A child refugee from Uganda, whose family still live there must be some. She wears strange clothes, and obviously has an amazing talent when it comes to Fashion Design. Together, the three friends then crows promote talent, ensure that space and materials are available and they finally sign on to a big competition.
As discussed at the beginning of the story of how happy Nonie join the said competition would be, I had real fears that it is a typical underdog story in which Nonie then just join in all circumstances, despite there and will win. That they realize instead that it has no great talent to design fashion, and in time realize that they otherwise can do a lot better (which incidentally also makes it more fun) I was so relieved. And that crow just not easy because their talent as this simply by rushing, but are struggling just to the side with very different concerns and needs have - from their childhood with just a few, what little you get served up to is hard enough. Also, Jenny and Edie come naturally not too short.
One could say that but everything is totally implausible. And if it is written so that it comes across credible. The people who found work, real and alive, the sources that the girls open up for those substances and the like do not work too far-fetched, but fall under the category of vitamin B and I liked the end in any case because it has surprised me again ^ ^

So Charlie decides that money and so far it must disappear purchased luxury junk. Fortunately, he has since the possibility to contact a young burglar ...
Yikes, I just noticed that the book has not even came out. There's only February, but what the hell, is not so long back.
I liked the theme is well implemented, and the characters all act to understand.
72nd Who knuffelt with Paulie? (David Melling)
A great picture book \u0026lt;3
Paulie is a bear just waking from its winter sleep. CRUSH Now he wants and leaves his cave. He knuffelt with a rock, because the best Knuffel are around - but feels so very great is not at all. Even the great Knuffel - a tree - is not quite right. Whether embraced now top, middle or bottom. The sheep defend themselves, the rabbit actually has something to do better, but still is so cute, then Paulie to bring, where they can be sure CRUSH satisfactory.
The original title is still great. Hugless Douglas ^ ^
The images are quite to my taste, slightly comic way and the color also tells me - not too gaudy but beautiful strong. At the end there is a small picture gallery of different Knuffelarten, such as the Gänsemarschknuffel or go-no-way-Knuffel ^ ^
